Current mood:  focused

"May the word of God never leave the halls of Florida Bible College".

It is now time that all Florida Bible College Alumni and FBC former students come and work together to do the good work of the Lord and re-start our school, Florida Bible College.

To date the www.floridabiblecollege.com Florida Bible College Alumni Association and its elected/selected officers have in my opinion done nothing to officially re-start Florida Bible College. God needs doers of His word, not doubters with worldly feasibility studies.

William Carey said "Trust God when you can not trace God".

The late Dr. Falwell once said:

"God can use someone who is willing to walk where they can not see", and

"When it looks like there is no hope, if you continue to be faithful and trust God no matter what your circumstances, that is often the time when God begins to move."

So what say you, fellow Florida Bible College Alumni, www.floridabiblecollege.com Officers and friends.

Will we be FAITHFUL to the MISSION of Florida Bible College, or will be we content with Florida Bible College golf outings and reunions?

What say you?

Trumpet of the Lord - MIKEY

floridabiblecollege.com is adding an online radio station where they plan to air old Florida Bible College (Chapel?) sermons , including those from my mentor the late Dr. Mark G. Cambron. This is a good thing. This is NOT however fulfilling Florida Bible Colleges MISSION of running a Bible College. This is also not the same thing as the www.floridabiblecollege.com Florida Bible College Alumni Associations written constitutional guidelines / requirement to support Florida Bible College, itself.

You can put extra frosting on a cupcake, but it does not turn it into a wedding cake.

Floridabiblecollege.com sent out an email stating that the word of God will never leave the halls of Florida Bible College.

I say what halls? Where are they.

Where is the BIBLE COLLEGE that the Florida Bible College Alumni Association / www.floridabiblecollege.com is constituted to support?

Posting old sermons of Dr. Cambron on FBC Radio is NOT the same as running a Bible college.

Florida Bible College Alumni Association, re-start Florida Bible College.

I am told that re-starting Florida Bible College was the 1 topic at the www.floridabiblecollege.com reunion.

My question to the selected Florida Bible College Alumni Association leaders is WHAT are you now going to do to re-start Florida Bible College?

Here is a quote from the Constitution of the Florida Bible College Alumni Association (www.floridabiblecollege.com):
Its purpose is"
2. To unite all alumni, both graduates and former students, so they may
support the
college in prayer, recruitment of students, and financial gifts.
3. To inform alumni about Florida Bible College's progress
spiritually, financially, and
academically.
..."

So I ask all Florida Bible College Alumni and former students, are the selected Florida Bible College Alumni Association www.floridabiblecollege.com
officers fulfilling their constituted duty to support Florida Bible College itself?

In my opinion they have abandoned Florida Bible Colleges mission of OPERATING AS A BIBLE COLLEGE!

"Subject: Florida Bible Church is not friend of Florida Bible College

For those of you who are not aware of the history of what has happened
between Florida Bible College and Florida Bible Church,I would like to
open up a discussion here about the past history between Florida Bible
College and Florida Bible Church.

In the mid 1990's the Board of Elders from Florida Bible Church in
Hollywood Florida took full voting control of Florida Bible College. In
the short time that Florida Bible Church took voting control over
Florida Bible College, about two and a half years,Florida Bible Church
closed and sold off all of the Florida Bible College assets, keeping all
or most of the Florida Bible College assets(except for some things like
part of the Florida Bible College library which went to Southeastern
Bible College),and claiming that the college had caused the church a
total of $200,000.00 in debt.Florida Bible Church refuses to show its
financial records to FBC Alumni who have asked to see Florida Bible
College financial records from the time that the Florida Bible Church
Elder Board was in voting control of Florida Bible College until the
time when the school closed and its assets were sold(or given to
Southeastern Bible College, and Florida Bible Church and its Christian
school).

During this time Florida Bible Church Senior Pastor Jimmy Sheffield
became President of Florida Bible College.Former Florida Bible Church
Senior Pastor Jimmy Sheffield was soon caught in adultry and he
resigned from both Florida Bible Church and Florida Bible College. The
fact that Florida Bible Church Pastor Jimmy Sheffield became involved
in adultry did a great amount of damage to the reputation of Florida
Bible College who twenty years earlier had another past President named
Dr. A. Ray Stanford who was also was caught in adultry while he was the
President of Florida Bible College.

It is believed that Florida Bible Church sold the Florida Bible College
Kissimmee, Florida campus, once valued between 3.8 and 4.2 million
dollars, for less than a million dollars. It is also believed that the
buyer then resold the former Florida Bible College Kissimmee, Florida
campus for twice what they had just paid for it, within one week of
buying the property from Florida Bible Church.

Some Florida Bible College alumni believe that the devil closed Florida
Bible College.A new board of directors has been formed for Florida
Bible College, and they have legally begun a ten year process to
re-start Florida Bible College. I wish them well. Their website is
located at:
http://www.georgiabiblecollege.com
A Florida Bible College Alumni website has also started and is located
at:
http://www.floridabiblecollege.com
There is a debate between Pastor Steve Bils who leads up the Florida
Bible College Alumni Association, and Dr. Michael E. Schmidt who seems
to be leading up the group that has started the ten year long process
to re-open Florida Bible College.Pastor Steve Bils believes that
Florida Bible College should never be re-open,while Dr. Michael E.
Schmidt believes that it was God's will to re-start Florida Bible
College.

From the FBCAA website w/ my comments added"

New Bible College Feasibility Study Committee Meets

(Hollywood, FL) – The “New FBC” Feasibility Study Committee met at the former Hollywood campus of Florida Bible College December 5-7 to begin discussing the issues surrounding the question of whether or not it is feasible to “establish a new Bible college in the tradition of Florida Bible College.”
***
FEASIBLE!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????

Ugh...

Wow what a sad pitiful lack of faith and vision.

TRUST GOD WHEN YOU CAN NOT TRACE GOD

BELIEVE GOD TO RE-START FLORIDA BIBLE COLLEGE

WE NEED DOERS NOT DOUBTERS.
***

Representing the Miami/Grove, Hollywood, and Kissimmee “eras” from student, faculty, staff, and board perspectives were committee members Joe Alessi, Steve Bils, Bob Brookes, Tony Mirabella, Mike Shaffer, and Ed Williamson. John Boehm, webmaster of FloridaBibleCollege.com, joined in the discussions via speakerphone.
***
Note, John Boehm is not a Florida Bible College graduate. He has , in my opinion, allegedly gone against all of my and Chris Carriers efforts to officially re-start Florida Bible College, allegedly erasing FBCAA message board statements about our efforts and or refusing to post on the FBCAA website in prominant view information about said efforts.

***

Early discussions focused on those qualities that made FBC unique and distinctive and how those distinctives had evolved over the years. Questions of purpose, values, tradition, emphasis, and culture had the committee reminiscing about the significant ways FBC had impacted their lives, their ministries, and their influence in the marketplace.

The committee concluded that “in the tradition of FBC” encompassed an emphasis on the faithful sharing of the clear gospel message, on knowing the scriptures thoroughly in order to feed your soul, guide your life, and answer the questions of the unbeliever, and on living a life honoring to the Lord in order to earn the right to be heard and to not bring reproach on the gospel. The pervasive culture of a faculty and student body committed to being dynamic, relevant, and genuine in their Christian walk and witness with an overarching emphasis on winning the lost guiding all that was said and done made FBC truly unique among Bible colleges. This emphasis and culture must be present in any new Bible college if it is to truly be “in the tradition of FBC.”

Acknowledging the enormity of such an undertaking, Mike Shaffer summarized well the mood of the committee when he said, “we don't know what the future holds but certainly our God does, and we want to trust Him for any or no direction

***
Wow, how sad it is to see such doubt and lack of faith from my beloved mentor, and I told him so in person right o his face.

"trust him(God) for NO direction for Florida Bible Colleges future???"

Please tell me that it ain't so.

Friends we need doers of the word ,
not hearers of the word only.

I tell you here and now that it is God's will to re-start Florida Bible College, and that anyone who tells you different is inspired of the Devil and his demons, because the Devil comes to steal, kill and destroy Florida Bible College.

Sadly, the Devil have had many victories over Florida Bible college. It is time for this to change!!!!
***

. His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.”
***
Here is some Holy spirit filled light,

His word needs to once again be taught at Florida Bible College, and I do not need a committee filled with balding men to teach me that.

As a graduate of Florida Bible College, let me tell you that this is what we Florida Bible College graduates believe:

that " THE WORLD OF GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE THE HALLS OF FLORIDA BIBLE COLLEGE"

from an earlier post that I made:

"I am very dissapointed with the majority of our alumni from Florida
Bible College. It is now time that we the Florida Bible College Alumni
STOP being apathetic about the future of our school, Florida Bible
College. Either we the Florida Bible College Alumni believe in our
school and that "The Word Of God Will NEVER Leave The Halls of Florida
Bible College", or we do not. Our school was not created to just be a
place where people can re-connect and "remember when". Do we honestly
believe that reconnecting is the main mission of Florida Bible College?
How heartless and selfish can we be! We have many alumni out there
serving God who have been blessed from being saved by the witness of,
and who benefited from the wonderful training that they received from
Florida Bible College. Our Alumni have gone on to have best selling
books, serve in some of America's top ministries , and to own many
sucsessful businesses. We have alumni today who are so blessed that
they live in half a million dollar homes! Now it is time that we give
back to our school. This IS our duty!We have no choice but to believe
God for great things for Florida Bible College! We need to stop being
selfish , we need to act, we need to sacrifice, we need to give, we
need to pray, and we need to be devoted to our school! To be a good
alumni of Florida Bible College we must NOW be proactive! We must get
involved. Florida Bible College is GODS [YHVH] school . Too many people
like Dr. Mark G. Cambron and so many others have sacrificed too much
for us to just to sit by and do nothing while the devil casts his well
planned assults against our school. Did we have leaders who sinned?
Yes! Every school does. Now get over it, forgive and get back to God's
work!

Florida Bible College Alumni it is time that we STAND UNITED TOGETHER
AGAINST Pastor Steve Bils, Florida Bible Church and all those who do
not believe in the mission of Florida Bible College. We the Alumni of
Florida Bible College can not and must not remain worthless, we must be
proactive to secure a better future for Florida Bible College. We the
Florida Bible College Alumni sat by and did NOTHING while Florida Bible
Church acted as poor stewards of our school. Florida Bible Church
leaders and elders state that they did nothing wrong concerning how
they acted when they were given the honor of being good stewards of
Florida Bible College. Well let me tell you my fellow alumni that
Florida Bible Church did not act as good stewards of Florida Bible
College, that they were selfish, greedy, lazy, apathetic, uncaring, and
that they only did what they saw as best and convienient for
themselves! They did not sell the Kisimmee Campus for what they would
have sold it if it had been "their" asset to sell. The Kissimme Campus
was flipped for twice what they sold if for within one week of its
sale!Florida Bible Church refuses to show Florida Bible College Alumni
and those involved in the official re-start of Florida Bible College
the financial records that they have for Florida Bible College!Florida
Bible Church refuses to give a full accounting showing just where all
of Florida Bible College's assets went to, but Florida Bible Church
staffer Rev. Bob Brady does admit that Florida Bible Church did take
Florida Bible College assests and use them for Florida Bible Church and
"its" Christian School. Florida Bible Church claims that Florida Bible
College still owes them $200,000.00, even to this day, but the 's do
not add up. Current Florida Bible Church Pastor Pete Tokars said "I
think that the Kissimmee campus was sold for $900,000.00 " But in a
letter that Bob Brady sent to Florida Bible College Alumni , by Brady's
own figures Brady listed the College as being under $500,000.00 in
total debt. The Kissimmee, FL FBC campus' land alone was and is worth
today over $2,000,000.00. Yet Pastor Tokars claims that Florida Bible
Church sold Florida Bible College's Kissimmee Campus, with its prime
location at the corner of 17/92 and Poinciana Blvd a very desired
location for future development , for well less than half of what its
land alone was/is worth! That my friends was poor stewardship. Their 's
do not add up. FBC was according to Brady's own 's Less than half a
mill in debt (note Bob Brady claims that "all FBC debts , salaries ,
etc. were paid" , yet former FBC President Chad Woodburn claims that he
was never paid, and that the school still owes him aprox. $5,500.00)and
Florida Bible Church according to Pastor Tokars received $900,000.00
from the sale of the Kissimmee campus [that had land that was worth
aprox 2.5 mill] (note that Florida Bible College paid 4.3 mill for the
campus, and it was valued at 3.8 mill in 1995)Hmm folks ...9 minus 5
is... - $200,000.00 ???I don't think so.
Also, FBC had many other assets besides just its Kissimmee campus.
Vehicles, AV equipment, desks, a bookstore (valued at over $100,000) PA
equipment, kitchen equipment, along with its library (a member of the
FBC feasibility committee himself estimated the value of Florida Bible
Colleges' library to be $500,000.00)[more than the amt. of FBC's debts
by itself, but some value FBC's library as wort less than half a mill]
So where did Florida Bible College's library go? According to Rev. Bob
Brady it went either "in the trash, to Florida Bible Church's Christin
School, or to Southeastern Bible College {Where interestingly Steve
Bils Graduated from with his M.A. in Counseling)

As for Pastor Steve Bils for our so called "current" Florida Bible
College Alumni Association President IT IS TIME THAT THE FLORIDA BIBLE
COLLEGE ALUMNI RISE UP IN OPPOSITION TO PASTOR STEVE BILS! Steve Bils
is no friend of Florida Bible College! Steve Bils sat by and did
NOTHING in 1996 when HE KNEW that Florida Bible Church had plans to
close Florida Bible College. Way back in 1996 liberal Pastor Steve Bils
was the acting Alumni President of Florida Bible College. Back in 1996
Pastor Steve Bils decided that unless he was given money to print and
send out Florida Bible College Alumni association Newsletters, that he
was NOT going to send out a newsletter to the FBC Alumni to inform them
that Florida Bible College WAS CLOSING!
This from a pastor who was so well off at this time he even owned his
own airplane! Pastor Steve Bils has not sent out a FBCAA Newsletter
since around 1995. Pastor Steve Bils refuses to hold Florida Bible
College Alumni Association elections{He even blames ME as the reason he
is unable to hold them claiming "nobody is willing to count the votes
because of you Michael" {how absurd}, along with the fact that Florida
Bible College no longer holds an annual missions conf. and he claims
that the FBCAA bilaws only allow an elecion to be held at one {as if
the rule can not ever be changed}], and he continues to serve as what
he misleadingly calls himself the "current" Alumni Association
President of Florida Bible College. He lists himself as the "current"
FBCAA President at www.floridabiblecollege.com, a website that refuses
to announce or support the official re-start of Florida Bible college.
Bils also censors me from the FBCAA message board, even though I am an
FBC alumni in good standing.

Steve Bils does not believe that Florida Bible College should exist.

Steve Bils believes that God closed FBC, and that it is not God's will
to re-open FBC, and he also believes that it is not God's will to open
a new school in the tradition of FBC. Steve Bils does not believe that
Florida Bible College should be re-started.Steve Bils is a member of a
liberal denomination(The American Baptist Church USA) that is so
liberal that it has member churches with homosexual, transgender and
lesbiam ministers. The American Baptist Church refuses to disipline any
of its member churches who ordain homosexuals of who have homosexual
ministers, and it refuses to dismiss its member churches who are led by
homosexual ministers. Steve Bils denomination ordains women ministers,
and many say that Bils own wife Trudy Bils has stated that she is
called to preach.

The Florida Bible College Alumni sat by and did nothing when Florida
Bible Church closed Florida Bible College, sold the Florida Bible
College Kissimmee, FL campus for 1/3rd of what its land alone was
worth!

It is now time for the Florida Bible College Alumni to STAND UP, BE
HEARD and to be proactive.

Dr. Michael E. Schmidt

Here is a copy of the original press release that Florida Bible College has re-started, and that a 10 year process has begun to re-start Florida Bible College. The FBCAA was given this information but they have and to this day refuse to release it:

"6-14-05
Florida Bible College

For Immediate Release:
Great News!

Flordia Bible College has begun a ten year process to re-open!

Florida Bible College is a religiously oriented, private, coeducational
Bible College that was founded in 1962.Florida Bible College has been
re-opened.
THE NEED for FBC TODAY IS GREAT. The new board of trustees for Florida
Bible College have set into motion a ten year plan and process to
re-establish Florida Bible College as a world leader in the crystal
clear gospel and solid biblical Education that you can trust. They are
believing God for a bright future for FBC! The need is greater today
than it ever has been in the past for Florida Bible College. We need
your help, prayers and donations to see to it that the "Word of God
NEVER leaves the halls of Florida Bible College". Why do we need
Florida Bible College? Because the FBC mission is one too great to
allow to die. So many lives have been changed for the better for Jesus
Christ because of Florida Bible College. Florida Bible College is a
school that you can trust. People need Florida Bible College more than
ever because FBC was founded on the teachings of the Bible, not man's
opinions. FBC lives what it preaches! FBC students are encouraged to
have a personal relationship with Jesus, to live a Christian lifestyle,
to be productive members of society and local Bible believing churches,
to learn the Bible and use it properly, to build healthy relationships
with others, and to develop and live by a proper Christian ethic with
honor. Pastors today desire students who are well trained in formal
biblical Education for preparation to serve in Christian service in the
ministry. Florida Bible College provides solid trustworthy well rounded
biblical Education based on the Bible , with high standards of
accademic excellence. FBC desires to see its graduates trained to
reach a lost and dying world through aggressive evangelism and
discipleship. Today their are an estimated 4-5 billion people on earth
who remain unsaved. FBC is once again needed to boldly proclaim its
crystal clear gospel message to reach as many of these billions for
Christ who are lost as we can.
Sadly, FBC was closed from 1996-2003. In 2003 a ten year process was
prayerfully started to restore and re-open Florida Bible College.
Florida Bible College was officialy and legally re-opened under the IRS
tax code 508 guidelines with the blessings of its founder and retired
President Emeritus Dr. A. Ray Stanford on December 14th, 2004. A new
board of trustees was established in the fall of 2004 for Florida Bible
College, made up of Florida Bible College graduates, sucsessful
buisinessmen and leaders of ministries and not for profit
organizations.

Florida Bible College is a living family of faith, and it is a living
organism that exists to: Have a heart for lost people that witnesses to
the lost with zeal and shows God's love, forgiveness and compassion to
them. FBC faculty , staff and students share with love and compassion
the crystal clear gospel with those who are not saved, and trains those
who are saved in personal evangelism to be effective soul winners.FBC
exists to share the good news of Jesus Christ's death on the cross for
each persons sin, and that if we shalt repent of our sins(Change our
mind, but not "turn from sin" as all Christians sin, and it is
impossible in our old nature/sinful body to 100% turn from sin to the
point where we no longer sin, this will not happen until we receive our
new bodies after the rapture or after we die),confess, and place our
faith in the Lord (We must believe that Jesus himself is Lord God to
truly be saved ) Jesus Christ alone, plus or minus nothing, that we can
know for sure that we are going to go to heaven when we die. And that
is great news! Salvation has been offered to everyone! No matter what we
have done, if we will change our minds from unbelief to belief, confess
that Jesus Christ is himself the Lord God, and believe that Christ died
on the cross and arose from the dead for our sins we can and will be
forever saved. Once we are saved we are always saved. We can not lose
our salvation, but we also do not have a license to sin. FBC does not
believe that saved people have a license to sin, and FBC does not allow
its students or faculty to live in sin doing unbiblical things such as
to drink alcoholic beverages, use illegal drugs, smoke, or participate
in adultry.

Once a person accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior,
Florida Bible College disciples and mentors them, and helps them find
and join a solid local Bible believing church. FBC is a missions minded
school that exists to support missions work and missionaries. FBC
believes that only men should be prepared to be senior pastors, but it
respects a womans needed role in ministry, and thus prepares both men
and women to do the work of the ministry. FBC exists to have healthy
relationships with local bible believing churches , and FBC exists to
be church planters and supporters of church growth in existing
churches. FBC students are doers of the word, not just hearers of the
word only. Florida Bible College does not believe that Christian
service is a an option for those who are saved, and FBC students serve
God not to be saved, but because the saved are called to Christian
service, which is the duty of every person who is saved.

FBC students not only learn from text books, but they also make
practical applications of doing what they learn in class in local
churches, ministries and missions. Florida Bible College teaches the
crystal clear message of salvation which is offered to all people not
just to a called out special select few; the verbal , plenarily,
inspired, inerannt word of God; the virgin birth, sinless life
,substitutionary death, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead; and pretribulational , premillenial coming of the Lord Jesus
Christ. The views expressed at Florida Bible College are those which
are found in the Bible, not man's opinion. Florida Bible College admits
students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin. "

Things do not look good for Florida Bible College. Florida Bible Colleges Alumni, and the Florida Bible College Alumni Association are selfish. They only care about themselves, and they do not care for either me or Florida Bible College. They are pathetic really, holding their dead baby, holding multiple reunions and a Bible conference for a Bible college that no longer holds classes.
