Gabby & The Skabs warning
.. --> start main content -->
The Skabs, offshoot of Bloody Mess & the Skabs, drops a website and a live streaming video show (every Saturday at 5:00 PM CST) on the blogosphere. WARNING: raw, uncensored PUNK rock mayhem without straws or napkins!
They said it couldn't be done: blending rough and tumble comedy with raw punk blues rock.
But the Master of Ceremonies, the infamous drummer Gabby Skab is doing it, and doing it splendidly, according the the many thousands of those tricked into tuning in.
It always begins with a strangely unreal yet riveting episode in the life of The Skabs as a band of punk rock weirdos. There's not a damn thing normal about any of the poor lads. That's what makes it suspenseful and, at times, delicately emotional.
The dead alien escapes the studio, thereby botching the historic webcast autopsy.
The lead singer is shot and disappointingly returns from the dead.
Bill Clinton and George Bush Junior plot to stop the spread of Gabby's revolution: The Great Punk Rock Brotherhood, calling it a cult that encourages people to think independently and act defiantly.
Bench Runners invade the modern, highly professional, digital music laboratory and internet webcast studio, slicing somebody's face like an Easter ham, with the screaming blades of a Russian jet engine.
You NEVER can know or guess what will happen next.
It's like a surreal punk rock soap opera, with no sex and lots of beer and loud music, played perfectly and lyrics lazily read from scribbled sheets of paper.
A show about Peoria, about Pabst, and about People...SkabTV is for the wanker within, the inner loser, the slacker you really wanna be. A show that glories failures, has-beens, and never-will-bes.
A show that shuns popularity while it grovels sickeningly on filthy floors for deep-pocket corporate sponsors. A show that will anger neo-metals and confuse mall punks. A show about a studio full of pregnant mannequins and red-flashing skulls.
It's...about Everything and Everybody, which is why we ALL need to and must submit to it every Saturday at 5:00 PM
SkabTV, yea and yoe.
It's original. It's unique.
It's an extreme form of live streaming video performance that negates bar bands and mocks real world venues.
SkabTV: Don't leave home or you'll be without it (and out of it).
Every freaking Saturday at 5:00 PM on UstreamTV and The Skabs website.
