Gjon Gegaj is arguably the best bass player in Detroit. For two years, he dedicated his craft, his art, and his soul to the music of Manna and Quail, and as a result we are a better more powerful band. The myriad-butterfly-flutterbings of his lower extremities, all-the-while with bass- not grasped, nor clutched, but held in hand, and the beatific expression of countenance that permeates his musical approach are just parts of what will make him a legend in Detroit and beyond. There are no words, no notes, no plaintive cries that can truly express our gratitude for his contribution. We will always be proud of having played with him and we are voraciously desperate to hear anything he puts out next. Raise your glass to Gegaj, the Rat King of Strings, Manna in pop musical wilderness!
