Below is some info on the exhibition.
The Master Of Complications by Roy McCarthy & Zoë Byrne
If you have even a passing interest in darkly humorous art and fiction then this is definitely for you. There are intricate depictions of violent hallucinations, cross-dressing pizza delivery boys and a man trapped in a glass jar with a tarboosh on his head. It is inspired by the work of William Heath-Robinson, Edward Gorey, Dennis Wheatley & Peter Blake. The photography accompanying the sketches gives another layer of intrigue and complication to the exhibition.
Zoë's work was inspired by E.Chambre Hardman and other photographers of the mid 20th century. Roy McCarthy is a Liverpool-based artist who has previously exhibited abstract paintings and mixed media artworks.
