KJ SAWKA’S LATEST PRODUCTION “UNDEFINED CONNECTIVITY” TAKES US TO HIS MOST UNIFIED, SIGNATURE SOUND TO DATE! Imagine for a moment… KJ Sawka galloping at a dangerously vicious
pace that only he can harvest, manipulating massive towering arcs of sinusoid bass waves that overtake you
and send you off into another dimension. His hands are like those of a magician constructing melodies of electro
& glitch. KJ Sawka’s latest album will be released worldwide January 27, 2009.
(“I wanted to change it up a bit, by adding something a little different... I never imagined it would be my own voice”, said KJ Sawka about his vocals on his featured track “My Girl”) For the first time KJ Sawka himself is the vocoded vocalist. Nestled in the center of this dark geometry is the single
“My Girl - Track #2" where KJ carves out his signature insect break-beats against rolling mid-tempo sine waves,
hauntingly complemented by the sounds of violins and a raw B-3 organ riff.
Right from the beginning Track #1 “New Life”, features the timeless and elegant voice of Christa Wells - weaving
through massive bass break downs, taking you on a epically electric journey. Track #3 “Airplane Girl” gives you
an attack of KJ Sawka’s splintered break-beats and trance like keyboard lines. While Track #4 “Void of Truth”,
gives the drum n’ bass world a unique take on sub-genre ‘drumfunk’. Summing up his latest works, the 7-minute
track “Chasing Lions” Co-written by Jason Camiolo – cinematically swings swords and daggers and grinds bits
of glass. All the while, slicing and chopping fragments of unconventional jungle rhythms’, and organic crunch step beats.
KJ Sawka has teamed up with Sony Creative Software (the company that makes Acid, an industry-standard music
production studio software), to create a loop and sample DVD containing 650 megabytes of original Sawka drum n' bass,
breakbeat, dubstep, and electronica drum rhythms (plus keyboard melodies and signature basslines) as well as all the
stems that make up the featured song “My Girl” - which will allow anyone and everyone to remix, chop up, decimate or
remake the song to their liking. What is the title for this insane creation you might ask? KJ Sawka Presents: Drum n'
Bass & Beyond which is to be distributed and released in January 2009. Sony Creative Software has a forum site called
ACIDplanet.com® where they will be holding a “My Girl” Remix Contest for producers and remixers starting 1.15.2009.
KJ Sawka continues to push boundaries and do things his way. Making sure he has left no stone un-turned his beats are
out there for anyone to remix and use in their own productions, the electronic scene might be seeing more of KJ Sawka
than we ever thought possible. Sawka will be releasing more stems of his own songs (past and present) on his soon-to-be
remodeled website as well in early 2009.
