Early reviews of "Things Worth Keeping" are coming in.
On
a side note, sorry the blog is kind of a mess right now. I'm still
redesigning it to fit the website (up soon), and am somewhat of a hack
when it comes to HTML.
ANYWAYS...
So I haven't been sure as how to go about this...act like I'm completely above it and
haven't been jumping at every Google Alert that comes my way (...please), go scribble in my diary about my "feelings" and leave these floating on the web (as if),
or just get it over and post them already. At least out of appreciation
because hey, these people took 37-ish minutes out of their day to
listen to my album, and then wrote about it. No really, they were
timed.
I figured I should take a lesson from my mom, and deal with reviews gracefully.
Then do what I do best, make fun of myself.
The Hot:
Mark
Tucker, I feel like a complete dud but thank you for introducing me to
a whole slew of new artists. I have no idea who Buffy Saint-Marie is
but I'm pretty sure you just earned me some serious brownie points with
the Irish-Catholic side of the Tadros family.
Woooooo! Someone found the hidden track! (Guess it's not so hidden now, oops).
The..errr..Not So Hot (lukewarm?):
...in all fairness, Sarah McLachlan
was one of the first live shows I went to see. I mean, the woman
saves puppies. PUPPIES! Who
doesn't want to be her?
Then again, it was only because I couldn't get a hold of Ani DiFranco tickets. Damnit!
I
could just drop the whole "folk" thing, but that would mean I'd never
be able to use the phrase "folkin' you up" again, and that would just
break my heart.
....on that note, you can pre-order "Things Worth Keeping," or tickets to the official CD Release Party* (Austin, TX) now
on my website!
