Those of you who know me from my old prog rock band FLASH might have heard that Colin Carter and myself have been working for a while now on reforming the band.  So I'm pleased to tell you that we've just been putting the finishing touches on about 30 minutes of new Flash music.
Mixing awaits.
Anyone who doesn't know about Flash might want to cruise over to the Flash link on my top friends list.  The tracks up right now are all vintage 70's pieces, but watch out soon for the new music.  It's similar, and different, ancient and modern.
I really do hope to find a brand new audience too.

Looks like our new tracks will be released as a 'mini' CD at first, and at a decently affordable price I might add.  The rest, making up a full length CD, will be following fairly soon on the next bus out of the studio.

As I said, the new version of Flash has been in the works for a while, and it took some time, and doing, to develop the ideas to justify reforming as Flash, especially many years after the original line-up disbanded.  But even with a somewhat demanding standard to maintain and the oddness of having to refer to our twenty-something selves for advice, instruction, and nuttiness,  I think we got it.  I'm very excited about this new stuff, Colin and I have been pouring ourselves into it for months and having a great time.

I'm now on guitar/vocals, Colin is in his usual role as lead singer, plus a bit of guitar here and there, and joining us on bass is Clint Bahr, formerly with Tripod.  I also played keys on these recordings so there will be a keyboard player in the new live line-up (Hooray for Tony Kaye).  Paul Pace played drums on these tracks.

For old Flash fans, a note of explanation :
The other two original members: guitarist, Pete Banks and drummer, Mike Hough initially were interested in being in this band, but each in his own way later decided it was not what he wanted to do.  Colin and I however were totally delighted with the idea and clicked right back into it.  Continuing down this road just seemed like the right thing to do.
Unfinished business.

With Luv.

There's a large group of us here in the Chicago that are behind you all the way. Keep the music flowing & we'll see you along the tour ... hopefully in the very near future.
