The crowd that I had heard had hit the gallery for an early show by Matt and Kim had clearly left by the time the Furr hit the stage; there were about 20 people in the room, and half of those were band members or NXNE staffers. I felt badly for the Furr, who were clearly young and had come out from Winnipeg; I certainly hope that wasn’t the only Toronto show they had scheduled. However, I give them mad props for playing their indie pop with a heavy 90s influence to the room like there were 100 people there. I also must celebrate the lone dude who trash-danced his way through the entire set. I hope it cheered the guys in the band a little.
