The Dahl Arts Center is seeking submissions for an exhibition based on the word GREEN* (see definition).

ENTRY POSTMARK DEADLINE: August 15, 2009
EXHIBITION DATES: October 30, 2009 - February 8, 2010

JUROR
Candace Forrette earned a diploma from the Art Institute of Boston and holds a BFA and MFA in Sculpture and Drawing from Utah State University. Forrette is a Rapid City, South Dakota native, now living in Montana. Her studio work is currently focused on sculpture and installation. She is the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization committed to Fair Trade and sustainable business practices.

EXHIBIT SELECTION
All works will be reviewed on the basis of JPG images. Invitations to participate in the exhibit will be based on creativity, innovation, quality and craftsmanship of the work as shown by the images submitted. Artists should submit only images of actual work to be considered for the exhibition. Images should be labeled with information that corresponds exactly to that given on the entry form: title, medium, size, description (front, back, or detail), top and artist name.

MEDIA
The exhibition is open to all visual media including painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, prints, photography, fine crafts, traditional arts, video and books.

ENTRY FEE
3 images per $25 non-refundable entry fee. Each entry must also include a completed and signed entry form (available on-line at www.thedahl.org/green). Please make checks payable to the Dahl Arts Center. All fees will go towards costs associated wih presentation of this exhibition.

AWARDS
Cash and prizes will be awarded for Juror’s Choice, People’s Choice and other categories.
