That there were albums that didn't all sound like this new trendy pop electronic crap coming out. I have to admit that there are a few albums this year that I can not wait for but I just wish that the bands I grew up listening to were still around or releasing good material. I am anticipating the new Blink (Who isn't), The Dangerous Summer, and the Ace Enders album. Other than that, nothing else is doing it for me. It seems as if every cd that I thought was going to be good, turned into a dissapointment. The Morning Light seem like great guys but that full length release was nothing that I thought it was going to be. Jacks Mannequin was good but it now has lost its touch. I don't even remember any other records that I bought within the last year that are worth mentioning. The Starting Line was and always will be my favorite band. They are what made me, along with blink, start writing and playing music. I guess it just sucks when you listen to older cds and remember how excited you were to buy them and how pop punk was so awesome. I haven't put a new cd in my car for a long time that I really liked and wanted to listen to over and over again. Lately I have been listening to Relient K's last release. I just put in The Early Novembers mechanic cd too I guess. It just seems as if I always go back to the old bands that I grew to love.
I don't know if this came across how I wanted it to or if it makes sense even but basically I hope 2009 brings some of these exciting moments back and gets me excited for music again.
As for Everything in One, I really don't know what is going to happen or what is going on? I'd love to play some live shows soon but everyone's schedule seems to conflict with one and another and we can't find the time to practice. I did record a few new songs though. Hopefully I can get them posted soon. They are being mixed and produced now. Maybe spring break will allow us time to get things rolling. Only time will tell....
