Being sick really sucks. It's so boring....the only thing you can do is eat and lay around feeling crappy. It especially sucks when you have a gig you can't get out of. If you're not really on, people think you're a jerk cause you're not saying those witty and clever things they want and need from you and because you feel like shit you usually have a really low tolerance for the stupid inane things that usually you let go down the drain....and wind up saying things you regret later like.."oh yeah..? why don't you just fuck off..." instead of saying oh, "I'm sorry we don't play any ACDC" or "no, I'd rather you didn't sit on the stage and play along with your spoons"
