I doubt that these rumors of a "big war" and a Wiccan coven really justified a school lock-down, a response from two police agencies and a K-9 unit, and a search of "every locker, nook and cranny."
I don't understand why the drug dogs were brought in at all. I suppose someone just wanted to take the opportunity to put on as big a show as possible. Interestingly, it does not appear that they found any drugs.
These poor students certainly learned a valuable lesson about the power that public schoolmarms, public cops, and public dogs can wield when those forces work together.
