So last nite,
Was pretty much one of my favourite nights in the whole world.
After spending most of my life on 5 different bus journeys (count them), and a bit of a fiasco picking up the mixing desks & cd player from Scar...
Last night ended up bring seriously, so very intensely fun.
I woke up this morning in my fishnets and pyjamas with make up ALL over my pillow and a little edward gorey bat stamp (there is a story about the bat stamp where I had to reluctantly admit to the Schlas that I have a goth stamp collection. It's true.) transplanted to my face.
My shoes were in my bed. Actually, all of the above is still true.
I remember being in some pretty awkward positions trying to reach a microphone (cos we only had three and i was barely in my dress so i didn't want to come out of it) and I'm taller than the ladies I was sharing with.
I remember Piney deciding to tell the butler i thought he was cute.
ON STAGE.
And then George trying to match-make us... Which started with a 4 minute introduction about how pretty we both were and ended in me running away. I'm sorry Mr Butler, that you had to endure all of that. I hope you don't think less of me and I hope one day, in a less awkward fashion, we meet up and you are wearing your butler garb and I make you fetch me cocktails and answer the door and you have to say 'as you wish' and 'of course' and 'yes mademoiselle'.
actually, is that mean of me?
I'm sure you're just as nice off duty and sans tux.
maybe.
I remember trying to get my dress and corset on in a unisex bathroom, bending over the sink while Piney tried to straighten the seam in my tights!
And seeing Delia, who was dressed as a doll for Manic Cough, and thinking that she was a little bit insane. Cos I thought she had misinterpreted doctor black, just a little bit. I accidentally laughed in her face, and she was (understandably) a bit annoyed at this. It was okay, I explained it to her later.
Katrin, looking like the cutest nerd EVER.
Piney. Dear god. Woman. I know what kind of an old lady you will be now, and if you are on my street I might avoid your house.....
George. Narrator extraordinaire and a vision in white.
And the VERY capable amidst the chaos Charles Manson soundman. Who George apparently picked not for his degree in sound engineering, but because she thought I'd think he was cute.
George, am I really annoying as a single girl or something? ;-)
Our DJ Jude and her assistant in Deer Stalkers and Pipes!!!!!
Who played my favourite band of all time, Siouxsie & the Banshees!
Today is going to be such a bummer, because it isn't yesterday again.
Well, til next year!
Hannah Schla, with a serious case of Alice Cooper head this morning.
