I didn't know there was a theme park.Thats awesome!I want to go there now.
 

Better get a time machine. It was only open for a short time in the Omni here in Atlanta.
 

I have about 20 black and whites from the Theme Park showing the Kroffts with people like Peggy Flemming, Jimmy Carter, and Kate Smith. They were taken by a professional photographer at the grand opening. I remember one showed and ice skating rink as well.

I just counted 23 black and whites, they appear to be from the opening ceremonies. I see Jimmy Carter again, and the others I mentioned in the prior post.
 

Here's a shock - I see Sid with Geraldo Rivera! I haven't looked at these photos in a long time. You'll get a good laugh....
 

Hi there - if this is Bill T. at the Krofft office, it's Ted N. We've talked many times. of course. I think I have all the photos already scanned and would be happy to email them to you. Just let me know. I got them a while back from someone who worked for Sid and Marty in the 70s.
 

if I had ANY idea what my kids dinner plate, and park map would have been valued at today..back then!!!! EEEsh! I may not have banded up with Sleestak for world domination!..ok..I probably still would, but, either way..Sid and Marty RULE!<br />They took a young boys uncorrupted mind, and turned me into what I am today! :)<br /><br /> (now...to go through boxes and boxes of old photos)
 

A couple of years ago I told Marty's daughter Deanna about this television special on the Theme Park that a friend recalled seeing. This is a copy and paste from his email: "The show would have aired on Sunday May 23rd, 1976 at 6:30PM on Channel 2, WSB Atlanta. According to some reports it was air nationally, however I purchased a TV Guide from that week, and there was no mention of the special… it may have been regional… or perhaps local. I already talked to them, on several occasions… They don’t have a copy. They do have some news camera footage (all raw… no edited stories)… but no show. I tried contacting the Westinghouse archives as well… no luck. Westinghouse sponsored the show." - You might have better luck contacting WSB and Westinghouse. Give that a try. Deanna said she had never heard of the special.
