Current mood:  vexed

Well I figure I go ahead and share my times at boot camp.Ok....Here we go

From Florida I headed over to MEPS.Which is where I leave from after my second swear in.I then take a bus to the airport along with 5 other guys as a group. It took a while but we made to Texas and where immediately invited by a MTI(Military training instructor).Hell yea that MTI was intimidating. From the airport we left for Lackland AFB.Once there a MTI told us "You got 10 sec to get your ousy asses of this bus and in formation".We all flew like lightning to get off that bus.In formation a receiving MTI picked up about 50-60 guys and brought us to our room.Thats when I got yelled at for the first time.He got up straight in my face and the only thing I could do was say "Yes Sir".

There are 7 weeks of traing (if you add 0 week.....seriously...whats up with that). There was a lot of improcessing and med shots. We got our first military issue.Pretty much that whole week was there to break us down.We were treated like shit covered in piss tossed inside a garbage can.The most calming days were Sundays. We all went to church and barely saw our MTI for the day.

The second week of training was more into marching and drills of that sort.We also had to ready our lockers.Everything in the wall locker had to be perfect.A minor thing would get your assed chewed.Morning were also hectic. We had to get up quick, get dressed, brush our teeths and line up in the hallway in fornt of the door for breakfast.(The way to tell time was :breakfast, lunch ,and dinner). And I have to say AF food was really good. But the MTI would only give you...Id say about 1-2 min to eat.He would come straight to where you are sitting and yell until you get up and leave.  Youd always wonder when some TI would say "Hydrate and get out".Third week was just about the same.We had a couple of inspections and another haircut of course. And yes you do get shaven bald the first time but the ladies dont have to be.

Now then fourth was called warrior week.We all packed out stuff and were transported to a tent city.Once there we had to got through some classes. We all had to do the gas chamber and I have to say.....That hurt...alot...tear gas is not fun....But Id do it again HAHAHAHA.Anyway we also did chemical warfare stuff. We always had a gas mask and a kevlar helmet on our person.

The fifth week of training was intense. The MTI had to reconstruct us to the disciplined bunch we were when we started. There was hell of alot of inspections and drills. The goal was to try to get honor flight but we didnt get,off ny like 3 points. That week was the one where we actually had to clean the latrine(restroom) with toothbrushes. That week went pretty quick too.Oh and between fourth and fifth week I got really sick.About 102 degree...Yea that sucked big time.

NOw the last week of traing was calm. Not as intense.Actually had a chance to reflect on all the bullshit I had to go through just to get to that one point. My mother came down for the graduation. We were given base liberty and a town pass. That was the best week because it was the last one in that base.Oh and that whole week we wore nothing but our blues. We looked so freakin sharp.

And then form Lackland AFB I left to begin my traing for my job.Now Im a  mech on one of the  planes. I really do enjoy my job and I hope that things will only go well from here.
