This morning i woke up (and luke) nursing a bit of a sore head. but there was no time to lay around, because today i had made plans to visit the home of THE WARRIORS!! for those of you that dont know, the warriors is and old film about lots of new york gangs who plan to run the city. And i grew up watching this film almost everyday. The warriors are from coney island and thats where i was heading. i made my way to 45th street station and met up with my father in law (whose on par with phillius fogg when it comes to a bit of site seeing) and we made our way to the end of the line, coney. when we got there our first stop was Nathans, one of americas oldest hotdog places and the one in coney is one of the first. one hot, and hair of the dog later and i was good to go. coney is like a cross between southend and margate x 10, anyone whose been to either will know what i mean. Theres not loads there but they do still have the big wheel which is the opening shot in the film and it felt very strange seeing in real life. walked about the pier a bit more, oh yeah then i shot a freak in the head, dont worry i'll explain. Shoot the human freak is our equivalent of a coconut shy except they replace the coconuts with paint ball guns and a crack head! now you dont get that at peter pans do you!! next stop harlem. the dinosaur grill is harlems "best rib place" made it to the subway and ask a lovely young lady with a beard which way to go. 1 hour later we're in harlem. jumped in a cab which drove around for about five/ten minutes, jumped out and ordered a full rack. beautiful!! now time to soundcheck. turned left out the dinosaur, walked for ONE MINUTE and got to the station where we got the cab from. (robbing bastard). the ride from harlem to brooklyn is from the top to the bottom of the map and took nearly 2 hours. blasted through the soundcheck and headed back to the hotel. after an hours sleep me and luke got back to union hall and met the rest of the boys. union hall is a quirky little place with a bowling green in the middle of the pub upstairs. downstairs we start our last gig in new york and from the off it went brilliantly the crowd was singing along and jumping around from start to finish. it was a lovely way to end the american leg of the tour. we hung about after for a couple of beers and then got taken home by the most authentic new york cabbie you'll ever meet. so in two days ive, had a pizza for breakfast, found americas best burger had a drink with Ali's cut man, been abused and robbed by a new york cabbie, had there oldest living hotdog, had there best ribs, been to the seaside, saw the big wheel, rode the whole length of the tube, met a lady with a beard, watched  a game of bowls in a pub and played 2 gigs!!! only in America baby!
