Current mood:A deceitful minister in the shadow cabinet of fear

I'm currently sat in a Newton Mearns library, where to my right i can see the aforementioned Cruise tome. A couple of books to it's left is "Diana: in pursuit of love". Great title.

Things have been fairly busy for Symbolics in the last couple of months. We've played gigs at Buff Club and Nice 'n' Sleazy, both of which I think some people enjoyed.

The handsome Pete Fullarton again blessed us with his directorial talents for Symbolics' second video shoot, which took place last week. "Kisses Sweeter Than Tonic Wine" is currently being edited into a suitably sweet, fruity and exciting proposition. Suffice it to say viewers can expect action, comedy, romance and buckfast. There are currently three screenshots from the video amongst the pictures on Pete's myspace page, which you can find amongst our top 24. Thanks also to Kirsten for playing the love interest.

The first Symbolics video, also directed by the attractive Pete, was recently completed. "Social Dancing" can be viewed on our myspace page. You may already know this. I should have had a shave before we filmed it.

A further reminder to all the myspace folk that 80% of Symbolics currently operate within the bebo world.

FOR THE CURIOUS

http://hodesy17.bebo.com - Adam Hodes, lead singer

http://bau02188.bebo.com - Scott Mckellar, drummer

http://adam-speck.bebo.com - Adam Speck, rhythm guitarist

http://abbazabbaster.bebo.com - Allan Gilmour, bassist

There is also a fairly shabby Symbolics bebo page (http://Symbolicsonline.bebo.com), but we're obliged to mention it as it contains more songs than the myspace page. It's shabby shabby, not shabby chic.

Still with the links, a lovely stranger called Colin Jackson (not an athlete to the best of my knowledge) wrote a kind review of our gig at Sleazys, which you can read at the following link http://loudhorizonmusic.com/lhm/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=62&Itemid=48.

Thanks again to LJ for her reliably tireless efforts in making it another cracking night. Thanks also to everyone who came along. Special, special mention goes to the pretty lady who was disappointed not to recieve her dedication. To her i say; "The man, singing...", and point out that oftentimes the truth does not a noise make. Honestly, some people.

I just recieved a text asking me if i had any luck with t in the park tickets. The answer is no, so either someone's going to have to help me out or Symbolics have to play the T Break stage. Get in touch people, there's a Kinder Surprise in it for you.

More songs and gigs coming soon, but in the meantime i leave you with some wise words old man Hodes passed down to me in my infancy.

"Bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks."

All the best

Adam Hodes Symbolics

REMEMBER - Radio was great, but now it's out of date - Symbolics are the thing this year
