Ok, so it is already April. Wow what a year so far...the last blog I wrote was in September, where has the time gone? Well the past 6 months have been quite eventful in the Bertrand home. All I have to say, is you loose some and you gain some...people come and people go. October was a huge turning point in my life when my family life as I have known it took a dracstic change and for anybody that knows me well, will know what I am talking about. In November Lane came to live us...Lane is 17 years old and is my ex-husbands son, and to enlighten you as of June this year it will be 27 years ago that we were married and we have not maintained contact. So we have been making big adjustments here...I do have to say that it has been a blessing to have Lane here and all things happen for a reason, in addtion it has been an experience to rekindle a friendship with someone that I married when I was 18. The ironic thing is that it seems like yesterday and no time has passed at all, if that makes any sense...Then the Holidays came and went so quickly and due to the events that took place in October the Holidays were quite different for us as well. Then I had the bright idea that I would start dating and for anybody that knows me, knows that I have been single for a very long time and ask me how that is going???? I can't answer that question because I do not even know???? Then in February I conceted to have a surgery that I had been putting off since June of 2007 and now I know why...I am worse after the surgery than I was before the surgery, go figure???? As we approach summer we will once again be going through changes because as of June 12th Lane will be packing up and going home to live with his Dad in Texas...It seems that we have just got into our groove here and everything will change again???? In addtion Leah took it upon herself to bring home a kitten that was only a couple weeks old in October...we have a Jack Russell, need I say more...they are partners in crime! So with all that said, I am looking forward to the summer weather and "pool" here I come because that is where I intend to spend a great deal of my time during the summer months. I will also be looking forward to taking a vacation, a cruise to Mexico sometime this summer. So like I said the past 6 months have been very eventful here, things change, and people come and go...All things happen for a reason, but gee it would be wonderful to know what the reasons are, sometimes anyway!
