Ok, so another 6 months pass...Where does the time go? The summer went by way too quickly, got my time in at the pool...Yea, did not take that cruise to Mexico yet, maybe this fall. We did go to Texas, road trip, had a great time! Got to see Lane and Skip and visit with people I have not seen in 27 years, did I say 27 years? My ex-husbands family, and boy I did not ever expect to make that trip in my lifetime. We had a great time, hot and humid in the Gulf of Texas, but had a great time. Life brings unexpected changes everyday, all in all we had a great summer!
Leah is a Senior this year and I can't believe how fast that has gone by. When we moved into our home, she was in Kindergarten. When I had Leah I thought "wow by the time she is 18 I will be 45 going on 46 years old"...She will be 18 the first week of January and do I need to tell ya how old that makes me? I must have blinked somewhere along the way and missed something!
This past year sure has been eventful and like I said in my last blog, you loose some and you gain some. My good friend Jane of many years, she actually hired me at the State Hospital when I was 19, she passed away at the age of 52, which years ago seemed old to me, it does not seem to be so old now. My very good friend Kelly was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer that has spread everywhere, we have been friends since we were teenagers...My prayers are with her everyday. Oh and we can't forget the Rattle Snake bite! Yes my dog "Chad" was bit by a rattle snake in the back yard, we are very blessed that he is still here with us, almost lost him on the way to the Vet! We have a new addition to the family, Lilly, Chris (nephew) and Lilly got married this year and are expecting a beautiful baby girl. I have also been blessed with new friends, Cara being one of them, thanks for being such a good friend Cara, and thanks to the one person we had in common so many years ago, or we would not have met! See, everything does happen for a reason, and with that I will wrap up the past six months...Happy Fall
