New album up, with pics I took yesterday, when I biked to the city center to get a few meditation cushions.
By the way Amsterdam has 1400 bridges
Meditation...
I'll be off to Belgium coming Wednesday 16th of May for a 10 day Vipassana meditation retreat. It's going to be very special, AND interesting... I'm sure. No talking, no reading, no music, no writing, no sign-language, no talisman. Other No's also, but those aren't going to be a problem, not into them, like no smoking, no drugging, no alcohol, NO KILLING of any living creature!!! no lying. Also no sign of any religion should be taken along. Up at 4 am and off to bed at 9 pm. Totally free. Everyone who attends is there because of the donations given by people who did Vipassana in the past. This is so COOL, compared to the prices of many spiritual workshops that cost hundreds and even thousands of dollars.
Look for information @: VIPASSANA It's just following breath coming in and out for 3.5 days, and after that: what happens to the breath when emotions are involved...! Send me some courage and comfort, light a candle for me for some blessings, so I can pull through with ease.... Wishes for Love, Peace and Happiness for EVERYONE!
Sherill

PS: Hey Mr. and Mrs POSTman...
I hope you'll like these pics so much that you'll hop over SOON!!

Sherillji, my guru, teacher, and friend,

I am sending you my prayers and fervent hope that your meditation will bring even more clarity, love, beauty, and joy into your life than you already experience.

Remember that even if you experience difficulties, you are bringing greater light and radiance to the world with your meditation.

Love, David

Excellent photography. You put my efforts to shame. Enjoy the meditation and the time off. My meditation consists of getting away into a quiet area, where there are no sounds created by humans - only nature, and just walking. Belgium sounds like a great place to go to meditate. I particularly liked south east Belgium and the forests down there.
wayne.

You know, whatever you photograph in Amsterdam will turn out right. I'm sure even the many heaps of dog-crap on the cobblestones look like diamonds. And you know what? Loudon Wainwrigth III wrote a song about it when he was here in the mid 80's. He called it colors. Funny song (of course).

The meditation retreat was awesome. Not easy but so damn worthwhile.
My butt hurts... stilll (smile).
Love and Peace

PS: aha, you've been to Belgium already. Nice yeah.

Very beautiful picture. Interesting, you have the regular streets and water canals alongside with boats.

the boats you see in this pic, are just for pleasure!! I wish I had one. There are also boat-houses (or is it house-boats?). I will take pics of those as well. In summer there is a canal-concert (classical music). They build a stage in one of the canals and the audience comes along in boats (all kind of sizes) to enjoy the music. I have never been there (always watch on tv) because it is so incredibly crowded on the water AND the streets nearby. But maybe this year, I'll go over and try out my new camera and shoot some pics and post them here.
