Somewhere in april I started to plant some stuff. After a while when they had grown 2 inches, I had to "repot" (dutch expression) and put them into larger pots.
I like plants and flowers, and admire them a lot when at people's places, but I was never into growing anything myself. You're never too old.
In fact, what started it off was that I had been given a box with a couple of 4 leaf clover seeds in February. A friend had a couple of boxes in her kitchen cupboard drawer. They were given to her in the supermarket, as a kind of spring greeting.
There was still a pot with soil, in the living, in which lilies had been. I put the seeds in, added some water and forgot all about them. And after a while I thought, what the heck is sprouting here, I remembered that it were the 4 leaf clover. What a pleasant surprise. End of April I put them on the balcony together with the other pots. And wow... this week I had another surprise. They BLOOM!!
My grandma had green fingers. Well... maybe it's genetic?!
You know, when I saw that after only 5-6hrs I had stuck the tiny seeds in the ground I could already see that something was sprouting out (one of the herbs). I was in total AWE. I just couldn't believe my eyes.
It made me smile and I said: GROW, GROW, GROW.
And that's what I''ve been saying now to them daily when I water them.
I never thought how rewarding this all is.
Good feelings, and pleasant vibrations.
Below: A few pics of the growing activities on my balcony.

4 leaf clover in bloom. It made my heart glow this week.

4 leaf clover, other shot.

4 leaf clover in bloom. Isn't that sweet?
On the picture, I could see the hairs on the leaf and the stem, which I didn't see with the bare eye... AND... I didn't wash my hands too great. I see a residue of mango under my pinkie... (oh oh)

The Herbs: 6 types.
3 on top: sellery, basil and thyme
3 below: kervel, majoram (these are being overgrown by the kervel) and right Bieslook (mmm, I will look up the English names). They are hot and taste real nice.

The strawberries.
These are slow growers. I'm curious about how they will develop.

TOMATOES: I really hope they will deliver some nice sweet ones.
GROW GROW GROW my dear ones.
May all beings be HAPPY!
