Cory lee is a multi talented woman from Canada and we at Street Voice love what she's about. After checking out Cory's My Space page and second album 'Sinful Innocence' there was only one thing left to do and that was to interview Cory. Here's what this Canadian beauty had to say for herself.
Street Voice: Cory can you introduce yourself to our readers please?
My name is Cory Lee and I am a singer/actress/songwriter from Canada. You can read more about me on my website www.corylee.net
Street Voice: You're a very talented lady and have a wide range of careers from acting to music to modelling so which one of these is the most important to you?
I love them all!! I just love expressing myself creatively. Singing is the love of my life but I enjoy everything equally.
Street Voice: Talking of all those career moves how do you find time to fit them all in?
At different times I have to set different priorities. I can’t do all full force all the time.

Street Voice: You ventured into music at the age of 15 so what artists inspired you take this path?
I love music!! I love lots of different music. Aaliyah is one of my favs, Amos Lee is great when you are chilling and divas like Beyonce, Ciara and Madonna are very inspiring to me as well.
Street Voice: You released your debut album in 2005 so how do you feel about that release looking back?
When I look back at the first album I get mixed feelings because I see everything that didn’t go as well as it should but I am also very proud because it did get a lot of buzz happening for me and got my finger in the door.
Street Voice: Is 'What A Difference A Day Makes' still available?
I don’t think it is available anymore.
Street Voice: Your second album 'Sinful Innocence' I really enjoyed so have you had a similar response from the press and fans alike?
The second album was bigger all around. I did get a lot of similar responses plus a lot more fans. I loved making and promoting this album. It took me to a lot of cities I had never been before.
Street Voice: There's some great songs on the album like 'Sex Me Slow' and 'No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service' and 'You Wish' which I feel on an international level especially in Europe are potential hits so are there any plans to push this album more overseas?
The album was released in Canada and Japan, but I think now I wanna do another album which would hopefully get a worldwide deal. I always wanna be moving forward.
Street Voice: Talking of the album which songs are the most important to you on the album and why?
Wow!! I love all the songs and different songs mean different things to me. I love “No Space” and “U Wish” a lot, and “As I Cry” on the first album holds a special place in my heart because I wrote it right after my grandma passed away and sampled her voice at the beginning. I still can’t listen to it and not cry.
Street Voice: I read there are plans to release a third album soon so any details on that?
Its still in the beginning stages of the third album but I have been recording songs and I’m super pumped about it.
Street Voice: Moving on to your acting I believe your latest role is in one of the Saw movies. So what role do you play in it?
LOL!! I was a hooker that gets smacked around but I actually got cut out of the movie.I have done a bunch of other things since saw5 plus I did 2 years on a series called “instant star”

Street Voice: There has been much criticism thrown about regards the violence in movies like Saw so any opinions on that?
Different strokes for different folks! There is a time and place for everything. If you don’t like it don’t watch it. As for Saw, they are known for over the top blood and guts and so that’s what people have come to expect. For me, taking on that role allowed me to try something different acting-wise.
Street Voice: As I'm not too familiar with American/Canadian TV what other roles have you taken part in?
I have done a lot of guest spots on Canadian series plus I was a lead on a series that shot for 2 years called “Instant Star”
Street Voice: It's very hard to break into acting so what advice would you give young people who want to venture in that direction?
I always tell people classes, classes and more classes. Because opportunity meets preparedness. Oh and get ready for rejection because there's lots of that too.
Street Voice: In my opinion you are one of the sexiest females on this planet so it wasn't surprising to me that you ventured into a modelling career so what has been your favourite shoots?
LOL!!! You are too kind. I love taking pictures. It's so fun and who wouldn’t wanna be dolled up looking fab in front of a camera. I love all shoots but i really do like doing fashion spreads for magazines. All the clothes!!! So fun!!!
Street Voice: Being a very healthy woman have you ever been pressured into losing weight like other models have for various photo shoots?
I haven’t really been pressured but I love working out and so I’m pretty consistent about my weight. Also, singing requires good lung capacity and dancing requires being fit all round, so keeping fit is a must. Travelling for promotion is really hard on your body, so being healthy really helps.
Street Voice: If the likes of Hugh Heffner came along would you do a naked shoot for his magazine?
I don’t think I could be completely naked but if they wanted to do a tasteful super sexy shoot I’m in!!
Street Voice: Being as attractive as you are you must have a had a lot of guys and girls hit on you so have you any funny stories to share regards crazy assed chat up lines?
LOL!!! Oh yes i have heard a lot of bad lines!!! My fav was “I have a hot tub and a sports car”.I was like “Yeah so?”
Street Voice: Talking of being chatted up when are we going out for dinner?
Well when u flying me in?
The ticket is being booked as we speak

Street Voice: So what plans have you for 2009 regards you various careers?
Ahh not much … just to take over the world
Street Voice: If you find time to chill out what do you like to do when not working?
Shopping, shopping and more shopping!!! I love clothes!! (Although that depends on my bank account or who’s doing the buying)
Street Voice: Anything you'd like to add?
Thanks for supporting me!! All support is good support.
MUAH XOXO
