Despite major problems getting into London the capital of the UK I certainly wasn't going to let that put me off from missing this show by any means. I didn't want to stay in Margate either otherwise I'd have been working the Fairport Convention show we put on at our venue. I didn't want to sit in a venue all night listening to some bare footed; long haired, bearded boring old folks play acoustic. London was happening at all costs!

Michelle and I arrived at the train station to buy a ticket for a train but instead had to catch a bus halfway to London because some dickheads in suits always decide to dig up the rail lines when it's a bank holiday weekend in the UK. They seem to get this idea that no one travels on these days.

Anyway we get halfway towards our destination to meet the London train the bus starts chugging along and drives into the petrol station. The dopey bus driver had forgotten to fill the fucker up with petrol!

In the meantime while the bus driver was filling the bus up all the extremely fat people got off and headed to buy some more fattening food and drinks from the local garage store. Not that they needed any more food! No wonder the bus was crawling! It also seemed to be lopped sided too!

Still you think that was bad we saw two ultra amazingly fat people get out their car to grab some food and we pissed ourselves laughing when they got back in and we watched the car get lower and lower. Damn! I'd never seen a car suspension get so low! I bet they don't go over speed humps!

One all the greedy people were back on the bus we managed to catch our train which was pretty unadventurous the rest of the way!

On arrival in London I hadn't eaten all day but decided to give food a miss to head towards Shepherds Bush. Despite London Underground hoping to make the journey difficult I'd already planned a route which was almost certainly quicker than their advised route! More suits talking shite!

Eventually we find the venue and head straight in as I can't think about drinking large amounts of alcohol due to no food. I actually wanted to see all the bands anyway.which may come as a shock to most who know me as beer usually comes first!!

OK so I relented in the venue and we bought a couple of drinks. But at nearly £8 a round we didn’t have too much!

First up were Pure Habit who for an opening band were spot on. Their blend of Punk and HC with a touch of Dub in there too was appreciated by the few who saw them. Despite the place being less than a quarter full they gave a great account of themselves and that was appreciated by the audience. The vocalist was full of energy and kinda reminded me of a younger version of my mate. He was a crazy assed black kid who certainly was born to front a band. Top band and I for one can't wait to hear their album which is released on Fat Wreck later this month.

Once we headed back to the bar for another expensive round it was time for the Flatliners who as you may or may not know I interviewed for Street Voice. That interview can be seen HERE. Their love of Punk Rock especially Joe Strummer certainly showed through their set and the crowd started to filling up more once they could hear the Flatliners in action. I'd been waiting ages to see these guys and I loved every minute of their set. In fact I went out and bought their album which I hadn't got. Well that was better value than the piss poor beer they had on sale.

When their set was over I noticed Alex and the bassist of Condition:Dead so we went over for a chat and they were telling me how they could have murdered their guitarist for getting pissed up at an Angelic Upstarts show I put on. The guitarist tried to keep up with Dickie Hammond from the Upstarts in the drinking stakes and failed miserably and was too pissed to play his set. See Dickie that's your fault!

After we chatted it was time for Snuff and the first two songs I wasn't convinced they should have had their slot so high on the bill. Still things got better and better and it wasn't long before it was Snuff how they used to be, catchy Punk Rock with lotsa humour. The crowd by this time had filled out and were going fucking mental. Great band.

Once Snuff had left the stage it was time for NOFX to come on and do their stuff and boy were they fucking brilliant. I didn't think the crowd could go any more wilder than what Snuff got but I was wrong. The whole venue was bouncing and people were having a great time. NOFX were on top form with great music and plenty of piss taking, jokes and everything else that they are known for. At one time Mike asked whoever it was to stop spitting and asked the audience if they saw anyone gobbing to punch that person in the face! The Hefe said 'If it's a girl kick her in the cunt' which had everyone in tears of laughter. Song by song NOFX just tore the place apart and on that show you can understand why these guys have been at it 25 years non-stop.

We had to leave at 10.45pm to make sure we got back for our train and by that point so missed 15 minutes but at that point I really did need some food!

Once we'd arrived back at Victoria train station I went straight to this Sushi counter and bought an extremely large pot of Tofu and fried rice which didn't even touch the sides!

The train journey started off mad as some nutter was walking up and down the carriages looking for some one to talk to death, He found some one behind us. After a while it was either punch him in the face or go to sleep. I was tired. I went to sleep listening to my ipod.

Eventually we arrive back at Faversham where we had to catch another bus back into Margate and once we were there it was the long walk back home!

I crawled into bed put on the new NOFX album 'Coaster' and drifted into my dreams knowing I had a fucking blinding night even though I was sober!

Many thanks to Wiebke that cool lady at Fat Wreck for making this show happen for us. Much appreciated Wiebke - Thank You!
