For a while now, oh I guess two or three years, I've been receiving a newsletter full of tips, ideas, success stories, and words of wisdom. From whom, you may ask, from "Just Plain Folks". They are connected with CD Baby,Disc Makers, and a bunch or other fine people.
Every year the founder Brian Austin travels around the country to attend conferences, about music. Wherever they go, they usually have a concert, meet and greet, showcase, with about thirty or so performers. Thursday night, down in Virginia is such a gathering. I think it's the first time I've see them so close doing a showcase. So when they asked if there was anyone in the area that would like to perform, I volunteered.
I go on about 8:30PM kicking off the second set. I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and exposing them to my music. It's a free event, all are welcome, see my events list for the web page. (It's at the top) See you there!
