November 1st has passed and despite a traumatic kinda day, I still parked myself behind my laptop and wrote about 1200 words for my NaNoWriMo attempt #3. I'm sure that it will change as time progresses, but having an outline really helped me get some direction. felt more like already knew my characters and that allowed me to just write about them. Props to the outline method. On a sadder note, while up at the Pioneer Settlement (Barberville, Florida-a facility dedicated to preserving pioneer lifestyle and history. awesome place) I had to help with dispatching a 4.5' rattlesnake. I didn't do the actual killing, but I pinned the snake down while another person did. It had to be done, this weekend is a high attendance event and this guy was right by the roadway that people were walking along. Still, it totally sucked having to kill off what was a beautiful creature. At least the meat and skin went to good use.
