NEWS FLASH FROM KELLY: you have two choices: Eat the boring food and have an exciting body! OR eat the EXCITING FOOD and have a boring body!!!
the choice is yours. Yes, most of the food on a weight loss plan isnt as exciting as steak and pizza and burgers and brownies and cookies...in fact, most of it can be quite bland and even boring. The fun of eating is taken away. (until your taste buds adjust,anyways..then you start to enjoy the healthy foods)
But the point is this: Do you want an exciting body? a body you can enjoy and feel good in, that is healthy and strong and you can where pretty, exciting clothes in and feel great...but the trade out and sacrifice is enduring items that aren't quite so exciting.
Most would opt to allow their taste buds to enjoy the satisfaction of pleasure for a few measly minutes. To enjoy exciting food..that ends up on the hips and creates a "boring" body..so to speak.
Anyone embarking on a mission to be in great shape should first be honest about what you are willing to do before you start looking for results.
If you are only going to workout once in a while, keep skipping workouts, putting in little effort and you are not willing to say 'no' everytime someone offers you a piece of cake, then don't torture yourself by expecting to see the best results.
I know I wouldn't see any if I started canceling my workouts and eating all the crap that came my way everyday. Being consistent is the most important part of seeing results.
If eating all the goodies everyday is the biggest pleasure you have in your life and you can't give them up, then don't!!! There's nothing wrong with that, but just don't expect to see the results and complain when they don't come and when body isn't looking so nice.
The thing that is NOT respectable is when someone expects the best results possible and they are not doing any work and giving up nothing. I've had people complain to me about their results when they are drinking alcohol every weekend, eating a sweet treat everyday, or dining on fast food. What do they expect to see? If you aren't doing what it takes you have no grounds to boo hoo about your lack of results.
Perspective: What do you invest your time in? Some have beautiful gardens. Some folks work daily in their yards to have a beautiful sight for all to see. But these same folks will say they dont workout because they dont have the time. (just an example, you feel in the blank of where your time goes)... But they have the time to keep their yards beautiful. Not having the time is just an excuse, if they really wanted to be in shape they would find the time but being fit just isn't a priority. Everyone has different priorities. Where ever your time is most spent that is your priority. and if you truely dont have the time, then guess what?you make time. if you have to workout at the crack of dawn..then so be it. So if you want an exciting body..change your prioritys and if you dont ...well then dont.
