WEDNESDAY 13 / GUNFIRE 76 -

The Gunfire 76 debut is officially recorded and complete 100%. Its off to the mixing and mastering department now.

Im really, really proud of the outcome and it really kinda got me out of a corner that I felt like I painted myself into over the years. I took a lot of chances on this cd, did somethings Ive never done before and really went out of my usual territory on the vocals.

11 tracks in all set for the debut, some song titles are Casualties and Tragedies, Nothings All I need, Los Angel-less, and One More Reason To Hate You to name a few. I really cant wait to for you all to hear it and to get out there and play it live!!!

Stay tuned here for regular updates up until the release!!! Thanks for all your support!!

Finished with the recording process of the debut Gunfire 76 cd last week.  A lot of people have commented that it didn’t take long.  Well – depends on how you look at it.  It seems like a while in the making to me. I spent a few months building the songs, so when it came time to record, I was able to go in and get everything done exactly how I wanted it.  We did go over on studio time, but that usually happens with every release. The Gunfire project is not something I’m just putting out for fun, not to tour behind or advertise like Bourbon Crow and Weirdo A go Go in the past. This will be a priority and focus for the next little while.

I got to hear 2 rough mixes tonight and it sounds so great!  Brent (from Bullets and Octane) is doing an amazing job with the songs and bringing ‘em to life.

Next up for me is building the band.  This is the fun part.  I already have tour dates booked in the U.S. and U.K., now I just need to find the right group of players. I’m just fronting the group this time so it will be a five piece. I’ve got a few people in mind for the project and prob a few I haven’t even thought of yet, so stay tuned for more on this as it develops.

We are toying with a few special ideas regarding the release.  More on that later, once we see if we can get it all done.

Make sure to join the Gunfire 76 myspace page <http://www.myspace.com/gunfire76
This Wednesday, Aug. 12 – tomorrow – we will be making the myspace page private and only friends of the page will be able to hear the first sounds from Gunfire 76.  We are going to let you hear a rough mix of the song ”Casualties & Tragedies”.

Also, if you go to Interpunk.com on Wednesday Aug 12, we will be putting a limited edition Gunfire 76 shirt up.  There will only be 76 shirts made in this color.  Each shirt will be hand numbered.  Once they sell out – we will not repress in this color.

Looking forward to getting back on the road,

~Wednesday

BEAUTIFULLY CRUDE -

On Friday, August 8th, 2009 --the band BEAUTIFULLY CRUDE played their first show with new guitarist Tony Summers and new drummer Pete Bailey. A daunting task, replacing original guitarist Scott Moore, and drummer Gary Belcher. And it was no more easy emotionally, as it was professionally.

Scott and Gary were a key part of the beginning of this band. The songs that spurted out of us in the summer of '08 were magical. The stage chemistry was undeniable. When they decided to step down, so that the band could go on to bigger things, it made it even harder to search for replacements. Out of their love for this band, Scott and Gary performed their last show with the band at the Boobie Bungalo on June 27th.

So, the show last friday was after only 5 weeks of rehearsals, with acoustic shows and farewell shows thrown into the mix along the way! Rehearsals in Derek's basement became like school and the band worked their ass off for about 14 grueling practices. The week of the show the final vocal work was done and it was time to shit or get off the pot.

The show went very well! Following our buds fORMER's last gig wasn't ideal, but we tightened up our emotions (and nerves) and proceeded to play our hearts out for the fans that were there. Performing all the songs that we love so much, and our brand new song, "What About Me." To the delight of the band, the crowd went crazy, and seemed to bond with the new guys nicely.

And the new guys --Tony and Pete-- what can we say? You did an incredible job --despite the huge shoes you had to fill. We were incredibly lucky to have found these guys when we did, cuz the band was in jeopardy of surviving. Thanks guys, for all your hard work and dedication to this band. And welcome to the Crude Camp!!

For our first gig together, we feel very good about how we sounded and performed. Much more learning and bonding is in store for us now. With the present lineup, with new music being written, and pro management on the horizon, we are all very excited for the future of Beautifully Crude. Thanks to everyone who has stuck with us and still love these songs --as much as we love playing them for you. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!! And thanks to Scott Moore for these awesome shots!! Till next time guys, stay Beautifully Crude. ;)~

9TH EVOLUTION -
is 75% done..  It's a look at the future through the eyes of
the past.. Pin-ups and atomic energy ruled the world.
All that was Red scared the hell out of us all.. Duck and cover,
nuclear winters,Hitler,Hiroshima,Castle Bravo,Bomba Czar,
A-Bombs,H;Bombs, Coca Cola,Twinkies and the Red White and Blue WANTING YOU!
And all that could have and almost was..
A future so close yet so far...  Is is alive and breathing in
"The Life Atomic"...  Coming soon...
It's the apocalypse according to 9E in an alternate reality
if things had tweaked slightly one way or the other.
In a perfect circle all comes back around eventually.

OF COURSE,experience us live.. Where we bring this facade to life like no other.
