An Open Letter to Those Who Judge us By our Name:

We call ourselves the Dead Americans to remind us that our time on Earth as humans is short, and life's journey is a precious gift not to be taken for granted.
We also call ourselves the Dead Americans to honor those in America, our ancestors, that have fought and gave their lives so we can enjoy a quality of life so many do not possess. We also honor those that are dedicating their lives to what they believe is right, celebrating their freedom of expression, and learning from the horrific atrocities of the past. Our band is a tribute to freedom, both personal and spiritual.
Our songs take on the hardships and tragedies of life from a place of joy and strength that lies within all of us—music is the universal healing language that all beings understand.
The Dead Americans are about honoring life through music.
