Current mood:  numb
“DROWNING”

Have you ever been going nowhere so fast,
That you stumbled past the fact that you were lost?

Noticing yourself in the middle of helplessness,
do you now look for hope at your side?

Do you expect the people that know you,
to not see how far from yourself you have fallen?

As if consumed by the sand on the ocean floor
Gasping and striving for breath once more

You look to me to pull you from the depths
I try so hard, but can’t force your steps

Restless night, and meaningless days
Thoughts of you have consumed so many ways

Will I be drowning myself along side you
Soon I can imagine, if you never see what to do.

Set yourself free, allow your heart to feel
Come on and live your life for real.

“Day by Day”

Do you lay in bed staring at the ceiling in the night?
Asking yourself “when will something go right?”

Only to wake up in the same bed you fell asleep in,
In the same boat as yesterday, nothing is changin.

What has to happen for a new life, a miracle of some kind?
Or would it be enough to push the fears from your mind.

Kept so locked up is what you really want in life.
Not by bars of steel, but by the past pain and strife.

Should the past have control of you in present time?
There’s nothing you can do to fix it, life comes with no rewind.

So press fast forward or least try to find play.
Need to learn to take life as it comes… day by day.

Even this will not ensure complete happiness by any means.
But at least it will let go to search out your dreams.

“Seize”

Sometimes we can feel our hearts yearning so desperately for something.  It feels as if we will be torn apart, but what we fail to realize is the rare rationalization of happiness.  That pain we feel is not our love trying to escape our heart by tearing its way out, but yet the feeling of containment and contentment of being unhappy.  It is not, nor has it ever been some elusive wonder so far out of our grasp that we should ever be so unhappy with not having if for even a moment.  Yet to look forward to when our time is right, and sometime will always be right for somebody in some place.  Hopefully your time is still to come, or you are living in it now.  For a few sad souls who failed to seize their time, will have to go on without that one somehow.  Seize what is yours when you have the chance, and don’t ever let an opportunity to smile pass you by.
