Milwaukee's coolest record store, Atomic Records, is closing.

Quite a blow to the scene but considering the times, not totally surprising. The store had a heck of a run.

Most of the people who care about this already have heard of it, but in case you're in Milwaukee Saturday night, there's a big bash/concert celebrating Atomic's 24 years of existence.

The big news from our point of view is that there's a semi-secret Squares performance planned as part of the bash. Three or four or all of the Squares will perform a song (just one, so don't blink!) in a kind of mini-reunion.

Consider it a warmup to the official Squares reunion planned for November.
