Still broken up! But let us look back to our most recent claim to infamy. The Zac benefit was an amazing success. We took the stage at the end of the night and pumped out what we all agree was our greatest set of all time. (Was anyone taking pictures?? Pinki, here's lookin' at you.) Unfortunately it came to a premature end when Huebacca fell off the stage, gouged his head on a ladder and had to be rushed to the hospital for 7 staples. He has since healed up and had them taken out. Anyway, part of me is ok with Manville going out the way it did, kicking ass and literally shedding blood for rock n roll. A larger part of me feels like we have unfinished business, especially since we didn't get to finish our set at the Griz. I would like to get everyone on board for another live appearance or three, we'll see how it goes.
Bojo has taken up 2nd axe duties for Strings And Chemicals, look for them to start playing out once again, and hopefully put out their album soon. Me and Boj are still thrashing in Hummingbird Of Death, plus I have my usual litany of bands going (currently Upinatem, The Quickies, and Pile Of blablabla). Not sure what will happen with the others, though you know Bug never goes too long without starting something new.
We did make a cd-r of our final recordings, called "Endangered Feces: The Last Wipe." It's our best shit by far: all music recorded live with cheap microphones, so the sound is raw and abrasive but also clear and tight, exactly what we always wanted to sound like. Credit our buddy Shireman for doing a great job with the mix! If anyone's interested in purchasing this, drop a line here or email
hummerofdoom@hotmail.com and we can do some bidness. We can try to have it available at H-bird or Strings shows too. TTFN. -Icy
