Well I've finally arrived back in Vegas from the Show out in Hollywood and in spite of the hell we went through to get there, The concert was well worth it. All 3 Groups including the openers put on a fantastic show and I walked away that night happy. It was strange being out in LA since it's been a while since I've been out there, Especially when I've had to catch myself over and over when I went to light up a cigarette during the shows only to remember that smoking indoors in illegal out there. The Venue at Safari Sams really wasn't bad. Two stories inside, a pretty decent floor/stage area, a bar with bartenders that move like they drank a keg full of redbull, and the sound system was ok.

One thing I noticed is the scene out there is completly different. The thing that stood out is all the people I talked to have been in the scene for decades and they actually knew what the fuck they were talking about. It was nice to talk to people about the old school bands without people getting a giant "?" on top of their heads. It's been the first time in awhile where I could talk with people I just met for the first time about My favorite type of music and not have to feel awkward or out of place because people dont know what I'm talking about or what kind of point I'm trying to make. I met quite a few cool people and some DJ's out there. Hopefully I'll meet up with/See all those people again one of these days.

There were a few fan-boys there last night and they really weren't much different then the ones I've dealt with out here. You know the type, After the shows they're the ones walking all over and they're sucking up to the musicians saying shit like "OMGZ! You're my FAVORITE BAND EVERZ!!!" and "I own all your CDs Could I pleeze have an autograph???" and once they're done pitying that person, the Fan boy wanders over to the next group and says the exact same thing. One moment that stands out is Me and Gencab were talking about  how they're from New Jersey and I said "Wow I grew up in Jersey" and some guy walks up and starts running his mouth saying that I'm a "Fucking Liar" and before it got any further, Protokol had to remind the guy how Hardwired blew his ass away out in Vegas and the guy shut his mouth pretty fast. If you wanna be like the cool kids and talk with the musicians after the show, That's fine, Just don't try sucking up to them by buying and wearing all the Merchendise at the show. It doesn't really entitle you to any exclusive or preferencial treatment by the bands who just spent literally an hour entertaining 500 other people. I cannot stand Fan-Boys.

It was awesome hanging out and meeting the bands after the show was over and talking with them. Gencab, Aesthetic Perfection, and S.I.T.D especially were a pleasure to meet and they were all really down to earth, friendly people that showed they genuinely appreciated the support. Frankly the only thing that sucked about the show was the sound engineer did a shitty job and wound up screwing up the opening of every act that was on last night. That guy should be smacked with a balpine hammer.

One thing that shocked me, Was when I was talking with some guy outside about what the scene is like in Vegas and He said a few of his friends were in Vegas and how they went to an Industrial Night called "Factory" and they told him about a DJ that played that night named "Virus Eye" who "Did an amazing job and was really impressive"

That Made my Night complete...
