The Price to Pay
I want to weave a dream
Out of a thousand threads
Of hopes and fears
To lay upon life, so dreary
For one who's lost the way
Heaven, so bright
Burns the eyes of thousands
While Hells darkness
Only draws them ever near
Thirst to a drink
Poisoned
Knowing
Moths to a flame
I want to forge a path
Out of a thousand footsteps
Of truth and lies
To guide those, so lost
For one who only wants to dream
Night Time Sky
Night falls and brings out the innocent
Twinkling children
Laughing at the world beneath
They play their games
Chasing each other across the darkened sky
Waiting to be noticed, named, admired
Knowing more than the men they watch
Histories passing like hours
They grow more weary and troubled
Seeing mistakes made time and again
Below, they do not hear their cries
But soon the mother awakens
And the children run to their beds
They sleep again, till the late hour
When it is their time to shine once more
