Two chucks in a row, how very bizarre. I am hooked after two paragraphs...well, the title reeled me in...to the bookstore...

nicely compelling pace and phrasing. the internal voice feels authentic, in fact my internal voice started to riff off of the similarities to times and places and dialogue. thanks.

Wow Mr. Listi,

I can't tell you how captivating this blog was to me.
It's everything I wanted to write about in a story but it sounds SO much better in a male perspective.
The pregnancy, the suicide, the relationship and break-up - all intruiging elements.
I wish I could leave a thousand Kudos.

I will definately purchase this book next time I set foot in Barnes and Noble.
I decided after reading this blog that I love hearing the voice and perspective of male authors.
Too often I get stuck reading women authors who write sappy romantics... but NOW I've had a taste of the forbidden fruit.

God bless!

Dude. I started reading this and I couldn't help but think, that's how I see things. I have ADD. And I have to say, reading that is like delving into my mind on how things just blend from one to another. No pause. People without ADD reading this won't realize, but this kind of thing happens in a matter of seconds to minutes for say maybe the first few pages or so. I was so engulfed not by just the story but by the way it is told.

Fantastic READ.
If you can get the printer's copy - or even just the last pdf file of your work, you can extract the pages - looks better than scanning -

i wonder that IF i wasn't such a computard and could do a really cool looking MySpace like this if my book would take off???

As one reader states here: http://www.xanga.com/travelerblue/575973123/book.html

it ain't a slouchy book...but maybe it's a bit TOO esoteric for the masses?

YOUR BOOK gives me hope however, the way it starts SHOULD turn off most people...but it has that Holden Caulfield timbre that propels the reader to go on:) Returning pennyless to NYC Thursday, the California dreamin' didn't pan out---but will pick up your book once i know i won't be living on the E train!

Wow. Thanks for that. Money is tight right now, but I WILL own that book! I would really like to get your opinion of my book, as well. It isn't published in hard copy yet. Perhaps I'll send you the ebook.

It's on my list of books to pick up next. I just picked up a mass market version of Heart Shaped Box and I read the bonus short story out of it and I was amazed. I found the anthology that Listi contributed to and yeah his story is pretty damn good. One of my high school buddies has this guy added and I thought I would start getting a list of books I want to pick up and this book will be one of them.

You are amazing dude. I remember when you first started your blog. It has to be years ago now. You should feel pretty cool if you read this comment. Your blog and your book is partly the reason why I took a creative writing class my freshman year in college, and partly why I am currently an English major now. Thanks for sharing your craft.....Kenny
