Howdy all,
Happy Chinese New Year to you, and welcome to our new mates from all over the shop, including some new mates in Finland!
Big Kitty on air and in print
For those of you who are within the reaches of Brisbane's 4BC radio station, tune in this Saturday 9th Feb from 7 - 8pm AEST for an interview and live performance from BK and the lads (alongside some other blues pals) as a lead-in to the Brisbane Blues Festival 2008. It'll be part of Walter Williams' Summer Saturday Nights session. Should be a hoot! If you're not in Brisbane, you might be able to listen live on the web at www.4bc.com.au.
Also keep your eyes peeled for the next edition of local music bible Scene Magazine, which may include a few choice words of wisdomousness from the Big Kitty band.
Thanks also to our mate Henry Prokop of the Honky Tonk Blues show on 101.1FM for giving the Cats a spin on Sunday afternoon just gone…we always feel like we've been aired in prestigious company when we see our name on Henry's legend-filled play list. Hola Henry!
Catch us if you can…
Since our new addition (the Li'l Kitten) is going to be arriving some time in April, there are only a few more chances left to see Big Mama Kitty in action before she takes a short break from the circuit. The Scaredy Cats will be continuing to play through April and May, and will keep BK's mic warm for her return in June / July. In the meantime we'll all be mucking round as usual, possibly finding the inclination and inspiration somewhere in there to write some new material and plan our next assault on the recording studio.
To catch us all live and intact before the big arrival, join us here:
