With Francesco Giannico's (aka Mark Hamn) 'Folkanization' we are in an electro-acoustic environment. Giannico is from south Italy and worked originally as a guitarist. Since about ten years however he concentrates on narrative and filmic soundsculptures. On this CD Giannico shows his skills in twelve, combining acoustic instruments, field recordings, prerecorded music, and other soundsources. He structures this material into ambient-like soundminiatures that often have melodic tendencies. Very imaginative pieces, like 'Blue Lute' are the result. Giannico knows how to produce excellent blends.
