If I win the lottery tonight(which there is a very large chance that i wont...several million to one id say) ill stand to get around 2 million dollars. Me and several of my co-workers threw in a buck and bought a bunch of tickets. With cash option the jackpot comes to roughly 50 million big ones! Split that by the people that threw in on tickets and its a little over 2 million. Thats a lot of money, but not quite enough to live off of for the rest of my life....not near enough... So heres my plan for what to do with my prize winnings(if any).

First thing right off the bat I pay off all my debt, which I think comes to nearly 30 grand. Most of which is money i owe my parents, plus a couple banks, telephone company, cable company....yadda yadda... Then Id book a flight straight to amsterdam and chill there for a couple weeks and really take in all that amsterdam has to offer.... Then ill come back and search for a building in denton to convert into jam rooms.

This of course would be the investment that would pay off for many years to come! There is ONE rehearsal studio in Denton where people who have no place to jam can for a monthly fee have their own place to jam. There is always a waiting list with at least 30 names on it that never seem to move! Many bands have restorted to renting uhaul storage type space and jamming there, I  myself included! At these places there often not temperature controlled, so your gear is exposed to extreme heat and cold...not good! Also there usually isnt a power outlet in the unit, so you have to run an extension cord to an outside outlet... Its shitty, but when thats all you got thats all you got!

After I find a suitable building itll be time to get ahold of soundproofing experts, and go to town on puttin some rooms up. Some big for large band set ups, some small for individuals. There would be a performance area with a stage and sound system for local bands to play.Perhaps some nationals. Once a week there will be an open mike night where individuals, groups, whatever that are renting rooms can jam on the stage. There will be a killer security system complete with outside cameras on all areas of the parking lot(which will be heavily lit at all times!) also magneticlly locked doors during night hours with a security code keypad for entrance. There will also be cameras inside the building that moniter every corner, and every hallway...everything except the bathrooms..The cameras will record digitaly all day and night. All rooms will have at least 3 outlets, be well lit, be virtually soundproof, and come with keys for both locks that are on the door. There will be at least 2 load in areas that will be easily accessible(sp) with ramps. Also there will be a few rooms that you can rent by the hour that have a PA that bands can use. The price will be fair, and the price isnt set in stone, theres a little wiggle room. The place will always be clean, including the bathrooms!!!

Once I get the place built and operational the money will flow like crazy! There is such a huge demand for jam rooms in Denton that the place would literally fill up as soon as word got out... Which would happen by taking out an ad or two in the paper, tv commercial or two, internet, etc...

After that I just have to work around music all day being my own boss, and collect the money!!! Then other things are gonna happen, but thats another story..

Yes I know there is no way in hell Im gonna win the lotter(especially with this attitude),but its nice to fantasize every so often ....right?

That's been an idea i've had for fuckin years man!! But...it doesn't take 2 million to do it. We could probably go in together to rent a building for 3,000 a month plus about 1,000 for any repairs, about 50 for advertising and boom!!! We're in business!
