Current mood:  awake
If it hasn't been apparent with mentions of CD Release shows in our status updates... in addition to bulletins about a new album being for sale all of a sudden, S. Burns just made Maximum Wage available to the public.

For now, I will leave you with lyrics:

Vegan in Furs..

Hey Seth,
say your prayers.
Carlos,
make the most.
Bring your ripened gourds.
To the feast
there are zombies armed
to the teeth.

Vegetables
Leaves of four
We mean no harm.
Wave aloha-ha.

Please have a steak,
herbal whores
Gain some weight.
We're carnivores.

Come to your senses, man!
These are people too.
They'll see the error in their ways
but forget to chew.

An ocean of calming motion
stash me in a wall.
Stir the bees nest in jest
doing mother nature's job.

Negligee

Do you feel as lonely as you are alone?
Time has slept-in through the guise of nonchalance.
Infidelity is bored with abstinence.
Take a stride, homicide your negligence.

I want to pass the feelings off to you.
Growing older turns my mind to you.
'Cause I miss our youth.
And I want to love again.

I don't want to see it hanging
in the bedroom, from the ceiling.
in the closet, off your shoulder.
Causin' sexual disorder.

And the boys are always kissing the girls,
but most of them will end in divorce.

Timpani Belle

Close your eyes you're in heaven.
Teams of bell boys and servants
aren't insured, so be careful!

Blow!
Do you ever want to feel?
All you wanna do is drugs.

My forced limit.

Do you ever want to feel?
Don't you ever want to love?
Don't you think it's time to heal? F no.
All you ever do is lust.

My forced limit.

I want you all to myself.

You know me too well,
Timpani belle.
If not you, who?
If not you, who?

And I could tell you
liked boys with long hair,
draped all over body.

and I could kill you.
Your life is in my hands.
Contemplating your body.

If I say that I'm sorry
will you listen to me.

If I'm walking alone,
would you take me along?

Far Away Veneer

Where were you, leaves, in May?
Far away from here.
On a cold night in August
gathering for rain.

Where we all come,
and where we all might stay.
I'll be there some day.
Far away Veneer.

The lights won't enforce the peace
a loss of time and space
and that's alright.
You say you're nothin' before
the presence of the Lord,
but that's a god damn lie. Oh lord.

The Only Blank Stare

John and Peggy are hittin' the road.
Havin' babies to lighten their load.
I'm carefree - woo!
You're jealous. Yeah, say it!

Have you seen her?
She don't know you.
The only blank stare
in the world.

Drop a doozy - can't wait.
Shackin' floozy and I get sent home.

Have you seen her?
The only blank stare.
She don't know you.
The only blank stare.
The only blank stare is hers.

Accent

No.
I can't.
I won't.
Be damned, it's a mistake.

Hear
a voice
but not
the words.

Hung up in the waiting room
midnight to proceeding afternoon.
...

I
look more
and more
just like you every day.

Had
too much.
So much.
We break.

Hung up in the waiting room.
Midnight to proceeding afternoon.
At ease with the animal.
Your plans to become invulnerable.

If you will, cut a deal,
but the cold doesn't budge.
Raise a kid Catholic
and be punished just like a judge.

Serf

Told you what you should know.
Told you all you should say -
it's the pattern we play.
And hey, did you idol my tower?
Have the petals deflowered?
Is the wind saving grace?

In a most certain way,
formal rations are weighed.
He's erected in clay.
Small, woven baskets of floral
say it leaves boneless coral.
Tie a rope 'round his mane.

Every waking hour she's plotting my fate.
Did not mean to hurt him; he's just in my way.

Don't ever let me go.
Don't ever let me

go, sold your pardon away.
At least you know I'm awake
by the way I lose faith.
