Hi All,

We had three bands play last night and all were great. The 4th Band had to pull out at the last minute due to a member coming down with the flu.

First up was “Classified”, a three piece band of 16 year old boys who treated us to what the young guns like in music these days.  Accompanied by a somewhat concerned father who had told the boys to change some of the more controversial lyrics in an original song, we all survived the energy and passion that young teenage boys are able to muster.  Yours truly was on to them about playing at a sensible volume which they did and they were pretty darn good!  Dad was left feeling very proud of their efforts.  These young guys, led by Brendan Ferguson, show real potential!

“Outer Limits” was up next and are a very capable tight unit.  Billy Reynolds was in fine voice and the new line up seems to work really well.  They play all the pub rock classics and kept the audience engaged through all of their numbers.  The next band was “Supergenerics” who have played at one of our jams.  These guys are great and also had a new line up adding another lead guitarist and replacing the drummer.  These guys dress the part, the singer moves well on stage, and the musicians choose great material and are very tight.

We had a total of 60 plus on the night and we are seeing new faces but it still would be nice to have more audience support from our Warriors as it’s a great night out and we finish around 9.30 pm.  It’s terrific to see how other Warrior bands are progressing.  Big thanks to the regulars though who are thoroughly enjoying themselves each time they rock up J

Cheers,

Bob
