This is the first song I ever composed or recorded. It was improvised over a click track on Reaper in about 2-3 hours on two consecutive days. A rough track developed on the first day without the E-Bow solo and with some severe tracking errors on my part. This was uploaded onto MySpace but very quickly taken down again (ha!). The second and, at the moment, final version appeared on the second day and featured everything recorded in one take including the E-Bow solo which was completely improvised. My inspiration for this song shall remain unknown (oooh! Mysterious! XD).
The equipment used in this song was Reaper recording software. All the guitar sounds were the Air Norton 7 pickup in the neck position of my Ibanez J. Custom RG8427F played with an E-Bow through my PODxt Live with some chorus, reverb and delay on the Jazz Chorus amp model. The delay was taken off on the strummed guitar part as it only contributed to poor tracking on the first version. The bass sound was the neck pickup of my Ibanez BTB405QM TK through my PODxt Live with no effects. No post production was used on this track except for volume levels. It didn't seem to need it much.
I hope to record another version in the future with better production and maybe a similar solo.
