On Sunday morning Nov 2 2008 Outlaw Symphony got some bad news. One of our biggest supporters had passed on sometime the night before. Monty was there for the good times and bad times and helped change the way we played some things. He was more than a mascot to us, he was part of our family. Many of you may not know who he was he was the 3 foot Savanha Monitor who lived in the band room at our practice house. We don't really know what happened but we do know he will be sorely missed!! He was fun to watch at practice and we could tell if a song was good by the way he acted. It was spoken on numerous occasions as to his reaction about a song. We had our first practice without him last night and it was strange no aquarium to look into. It was rather a somber practice and hard to focus sometimes for me. Monty has been there since the rip and I will miss him so, so for you Monty here we go
You'll see green alligators and long neck geese
some humptyback camels and some chimpanzees
some cats and rats and elephants as sure as you born
And I hope you get to see your unicorn
Goodbye you scaly bastard!!!!!!
