April 22, 2009: Today is the 39th Annual Earth Day!
This is a great day to celebrate Alabama’s 77,000+ miles of rivers and streams.
Support your local waterway by donating to the Alabama Rivers Alliance, volunteering or donating to your local water protection group, and take some time to enjoy yourself boating, fishing, swimming, or doing another of your favorite water hobbies.
Remember: Conserving water is one of the most important things that you can do for our environment on Earth Day and every day!
Take a moment this Earth Day to watch this important video about the water shortage on our planet and in our country, and learn what you can do to help ensure clean water for future generations:
Water is Life!
