Before Christmas I had done a lot of recording with The Intangibles on our upcoming CD that we're so excited about.  Unfortunately it looks like that's grinding to a halt for a couple of months.  Instead I'm probably going to have surgery on my back.

This is a recurring problem.  I had surgery on a herniated and fragmented disc back in 1998.  I really hadn't had a problem since then, but suddenly just after New Years I started getting the same pain down my leg that I had before.  An MRI has revealed that there is a new protrusion from the old surgery site.  It's messing with the nerves big time causing a lot of pain.  My doctor thinks surgery is likely, but I haven't met with the neuro surgeon yet.

Already I've been getting so many thoughts and prayers and offers of help.  If you ever lose your faith in humanity just have back surgery and watch how everyone responds.  Or maybe I just have extra special friends and family.

Thanks to all.  I know I'll be sharing music again soon.  The Intangibles' CD will not be forgotten.  There's stuff the rest of the band can do and I'll be playing it over in my head for the next couple of months.
