For those that missed the August 25th meeting, it was great. We watched several funny video clips and a video of The Amazing James Randi on homeopathy. We then had a deconversion story from Nathan Ingold. Great job Nathan! Nathan wants to get a newsletter started so….If you have any ideas or want to add something contact him at…xxxx We also spent about an hour introducing ourselves. There were 13 (a new record) at the meeting.
Next meeting - September 22nd at 1:00PM in the Urbana Free Library. I hope we can fit. Only 3 meetings and we are about to outgrow our room. Vonnie is planning on giving a presentation about creationism. If you would like to give a presentation or tell your story – just let me know.

Amazon Links – On the www.CUFREE.net web page are several links to Amazon. If you click on any of the links and then buy something we get 4% (6% on some things) of the sale. You pay the same price and you can buy anything (car maybe?). Next time you shop go to the CUFREE site, click on one of the links and then buy anything you want (remember you still have to pay for it). I am having the webmaster add several more books so check them out. I have asked him to add my new favorite, "Infidel Manifesto". I highly recommend it. Also, this fall will have a new book by Christopher Hitchens and the Letting Go Of god DVD by Julia Sweeney.
Membership – You are all welcome to come to meetings as guest for as long as you like. However, I would like to invite everyone to become members. Click on the support link on the cufree site and pick the level that is right for you. Students are only $5 and regular membership is just $15. We also have several supporting members already.
FFRF – If anyone is going to the conference (Oct 12-14th) Let me know and we can plan to meet in Madison . Julia Sweeney will be selling her DVD there (on sale for the first time). Bring me $25 (estimated price) and I will pick you up a copy.
