This is, of course, a serious story. According to CNN, Britain has initiated the extradition process of one of the most prominent fundamentalist Muslim extremists they have in custody. They are sending him to the U.S. for prosecution. Apparently, his extremist ways have taken a physical toll on the man. Therefore, CNN chooses to use this headline:

"One-eyed, hook-handed cleric heading to U.S. "

Do we really need anything else making anyone in Muslim culture, even extremists, seem more threatening, fantastical and inhuman?

If only we could discover a cleric with horns, now THAT could really scare some people.
Or tentacles. Yeah. Tentacles would be awesome. With razor-poison-dart-suckers.

On the flip side of my snarkiness is the fact that in actuality, a fundamentalist terrorist with tentacles would be absolutely horrifying, and well worth being scared of.
