Just wanted to let everyone know... that a bunch of guys over at the Harmony Central Electric Guitar Forum are putting together a fund raiser to help the Boys and Girls Club of America. They want to raise money to buy guitars for the club to help kids get some guitar lessons that might not have a chance otherwise.
They are looking for donations, and they are also planning to raffle off some prizes that are being donated.
The plans are in the begining phases and all the details are not worked out yet. I'll try to post an update when it all comes together. If you would like to check it out for yourself, or make a donation, here is a link to the thread:

Music is a big part of our lives. Learning a musical instrument at a young age actually helps children do better in school. It helps with reasoning, coordination, creativity, comprehension, memory and more. In today's world music is not just a recreation it is essential to our every day lives.
As we all know, we are not living in the best of times. Many people are in need these days. When money gets tight, people cut back on non-essentials. Unfortunately, This includes musical instruments and lessons. Further music classes in public schools, all over the country, are being cut due to lack of funding. Taking away the only hope some children have of learning a musical instrument.
If you think you can't help with donations, think about donating your time. Many kids would love to start learning how to play. If you could even help start a child off with just the basics of playing an instrument, you would open up a whole new world to a child in need. And maybe a whole new world for you.
Let's all get together and Keep Music Alive!
