Please do not freak out on me or anything.....Some people "believe" in the modern prophetic and some do not.  I know I was skeptical about it.........Meanwhile, I was put in a situation (looking for direction) and I came to the end of "me".  I had always been able to get myself in and out of virutally any "bind" one could imagine.  Meanwhile, as I was finishing my MBA I found that I could not "pay" people to let me work for them.  At a point when I thought I was at the top of my game I was not able to do anything...............I had someone invite me to a church , where they knew more about my situation than I did!!  It was amazing.........Through a twist of events I succumbed to my inability to do anything about my situation and went to a "ministry training" program where I was emersed for 9 months with the so-called prophetic.  The results can be amazing.  I saw radical, crazy things that one could hardly believe.......In part what it did was give me faith to believe.

My personal belief at this juncture is we as a Body do not fully understand the "prophets".  A prophet is not a special person.  His words are not so important as are their EARS!!  Prophecy is not about speaking.  It is about listening.  Learn to LISTEN!  God is always speaking.  We just need to learn how to HEAR!

As for the prophecy of the Bible.  I see where many folks try to analyze, translate, etc when they have not mastered hearing yet.  You have ministers who say prophecy doesn't happen any more, and that there was a "silent period" from Malachi to the New Testament, and a host of other things that are simply not true.  YET, these same ministers want to give interpretation of Daniel, Ezekiel, and Revelation.

Prophecy is here today, however the Bible tells us to "Test the Spirits".  Too many people fail to understand testing, or they simply fail to test them.........What some fail to see to see is Scripture tells us that satan poses as an angel of light............What we see is the "untested spirit" that leads many is not God at all.  We need to be ready to deal with these shifts in power.........God is not as irresponsible with His power as is the enemy.  Be cautious when playing "follow the leader".  Your leader may not be going in the right direction.

There is a Scripture that advises us that the "Spirit of Truth" will come upon you and lead/teach you all things.  We are never taught to ASK for this.  Since the Spirit is a gentleman, the Spirit will not impose upon you, BUT Ask, Seek, Knock!.............People would be greatly astounded by what will happen if they start praying for others, and praying for God's UNDENIABLE, MANIFEST power and presence in the lives of others.............If you understand the law of sowing and reaping, then what will you "reap"? You will reap the Undenible, Manifest Power and Presence........Pretty cool how that works, isn't it?
