Current mood:  busy

Well, it's hard to believe that summer is finally here.  Stuck as I am behind a computer desk banging away at the keyboard, the passing of the seasons doesn't always register and time tends to get away from me very easily. *Sheepish grin*

As I am hard at work on my next project, I probably won't have a lot of extra time to laze around the pool or take off on a nice, relaxing vacation, though I do plan on catching up on some of my reading in the next few months.  My TBR pile has gotten wayyyyy out of hand.  I also have a backlog of recorded television series that I hope to get to eventually.  I haven't stopped to watch Lost since it resumed this season, so I'm looking forward to getting caught up.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have also recently discovered the surprising allure of NeoRomance.  What's that, you ask?  I had never heard of it before either, but apparently it is a series of Japanese dating sims for girls that several recent animes have been based upon.   Now, I've never been a huge fan of anime, though I have enjoyed a few in the past, mostly the ones with a lot of romance and drama, such as Fushigi Yuugi, Fruits Basket, and Peach Girl.  A friend clued me in to these NeoRomance animes and I have been avidly devouring them at Crunchy Roll ever since: La Corda d'Oro, Harukanaru Toki no Naka de Hachiyosho, and Neo Angelique Abyss.  Never mind that they are all Japanese subtitled.  (In the past, I've actually tended to like the subtitles more than the English dubs.)  Maybe I should be embarrassed at my age, LOL, but what's not to like about a lone girl, surrounded by a harem of hot guys who are all in love with her?  In fact, I've just added Vampire Knight to my viewing list, and if you are an anime fan and have any suggestions for similar ones I might like, I'd love to hear them.  I just might turn into an otaku yet!

So, what do you plan to do with your summer?  Like me, do you have a towering TBR pile?  If you'd like to add to your summer reading list, I am currently giving away five signed copies of my most recent historical romance release from Avon, SEDUCED BY SIN, at my website.  You can stop by to enter at www.kimberlylogan.net

That's all for now.  I'll check in again soon and I hope you have a great summer!

I'm like you, I have a large backlog of recorded TV shows on the DVR, and then what I do is have a marathon of one particular show - I just caught up with 3 episodes of Lost this week, and yesterday I did a marathon of Battlestar Galactica.
The TBR pile is as out of hand as it can get, I do have your Seduced by Sin on it - I will get to it soon, I swear. That is my plan for the summer, a little reading, some TV and a little bit of swimming in the pool to get my exercise in.
