Dear Friends,
It's been a really long while since I got on here, and for that I'm sorry. Life has kind of taken over, and building Coco Eco Magazine (www.cocoecomag.com) has me working around the clock. I am really out of touch with everyone because literally all I do is work. Building a sustainable media brand that is everything high fashion, beauty, and the ultimate in a girl's eco living, has me sleepless, but it is growing into a beautiful magazine, and the brand is expanding. Beyond providing the answers to a good, green, glam lifestyle, Coco Eco Mag also promises to help us rethink how we view our media as women, as well as how we make our purchasing decisions, for the good of not only our planet and animal friends, but ourselves and our communities. And it's sexy!!!
Having put the last six months of my life into this and nothing else, and literally gone without sleep and any semblance of normal life, I am inspired to see how green revolution is growing. From fair trade vs free trade, organic vs conventional, sustainable vs throw away, and in the midst of a global recession, I have learned one thing. This new green revolution of ours is the way forward, and a light at the end of the tunnel of depression, and it's happening all over the world.
I unexpectedly found myself in London in February and at two amazing sustainable fashion events before Fashion Week had even opened its doors. At both the PURE London Ethical marketplace, and the Aveda "The Lady Is A Vamp" fashion show, I was inspired to see emerging eco couturiers rising to the demand of the high street. It seems our recent days of wear-once-and-throw-away are done as consumers seek ethical quality that will last more than one season, and is also less indulgent on the planet.
In the next couple of days, we will go live with the fourth issue of Coco Eco Magazine (www.cocoecomag.com), the planet's first fashion, beauty, and lifestyle mag where everything from the models' make up in shoots to the products and places we recommend, are not only eco-conscious, but eco-chic!
In this next issue (due live any day), we are graced with the original eco-sweetheart, Josie Maran on our cover; Actor and philanthropist Brian White; The ultimate weekend guide to LA; Hot geometric fashion; Gorgeous spring beauty trends, and a look at stress (cause we're all feeling it), amongst other things.
I hope you all get a chance to see and enjoy.
Anna xx
