Last night (Halloween) we played a show in our hometown of Austin. I believe there was also a full moon, or close to it, which seems to add extra fun as weird things tend to happen to people. Oh, and it was also day light savings time so people had an extra hour to drink. Although I wasn't drunk last night there was a lot of random things that occured so i'm still remembering pieces of the evening as today goes on. Here's what i recall so far:

-Got downtown at 3pm to secure a parking spot at the venue for the van

-Returned around 7pm to find roads and highway exits closed. Saw a guy face down in the road next to his bike and not moving at all with 10 cops around.

-Carried a trash bag full of bras, robes, wigs and a fat suit through hoards of people that were already covering 6th street

-Met up with Pat at 7:30 to find him 4 beers in and upset because he was sexually assaulted by a man in a truck

-Loaded the gear into the venue and Dale (light guy) tripped over a cable and almost broke his neck

-I went to find a useable bathroom downtown at a hotel....a minute into doing my business all the lights went out in the hotel for 10mins

-Back at the Red Eyed Fly our friends/fans started showing up...a good deal of the guys were dressed in awkward/next to nothing clothes

-Watched one of the jager girls fall to the ground seemingly for no reason.

-While Brotherhood was playing myself, eric and pat were in the van putting on fishnets and bras while getting our hooker makeup applied.

-Loaded gear on stage wearing bathrobes and jason masks

-After a quick sound check got off stage, took off the robes and put on our mini skirts and fat suits and then entered the Red Eye Fly again with "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" playing

-I fell off a stage monitor during the 30 seconds of the first song

-Watched a most pit full of drunk dudes dressed as rabbits/girls, Old Gregg, and random other things.

-The show in general was awesome, the crowd was very cool and didn't seem to mind too much that we were dressed as ladies of the night.

-Many people got to the show late or missed our set altogether due to the chaotic parking situation downtown

-Eric disappeared soon after our show

-Dale (lights) disappeared soon after our show

-Pat remained at the bar having a great old time dressed up as a woman

-Greg seemed to disappear fromt the bar

-Our manager showed up with sparkles on his face dressed up like the tooth fairy

-There was a slight panic when our friends wife stumbled through the venue looking for him barely able to stand...and after a few phone calls and texts found him 30mins later in the back of the club...apparently they had showed up together.

-I watched our merch girl fall try to get up on the bar to take a picture only to take one step and fall directly off

-Loaded the trailer with Greg and Bippie still unable to find dale to pack up the lights

-Didn't have a single shot of jager all night....i blame the full moon

-Eric calls me from a loud club at 2:15am, very drunk, saying he got busted for trying to buy alcohol or something, then he cut out. I text him and he says "I got busted dude". Then he calls me today saying he tried to buy a drink and they wouldn't let him, next thing he knew he woke up on someone's futon still wearing his fat suit.

-Pat dissappears, Dale shows up. Trailer is loaded but Greg can't leave b/c all of his friends went to retrieve someone from a rooftop somewhere

-I finally leave at 2:45 with the van and a puking mime, only to get a call 20mins later with a bunch of people yelling and screaming about leaving their keys and belongings at the club.


-I call greg when i get home to inform him that apparently i had his keys

-Greg retrieves the keys at 3am and i take a shower and now my tub is all blue.

-Woke up at noon  to find an Old Gregg in my house confused at his surroundings and still drunk.


There is probably plenty of things i'm forgetting or shouldn't say in a public forum but if you'd like to add anything feel free. It was a great night and i'm glad we played in austin again but i'm telling you...the combination of Halloween, Daylight Savings and a full moon made for a weird vibe. Was it just me?
